Interesting you a d,
If you look for it it's there on low RPM 1500-1750 ON COMFORT EVERYTHING AND you even feel it in your right foot, not on Sport plus throttle response which is all the time for me die to valve open only that way,

Does it bother me,
Obviously I'd rather not have it, but if that were the only way of getting that much sound out of that car with lots of fun pops and crackles and much more enjoyable DOWN SHIFTS burbles, I don't mind at all.

I look at it this way 90% I like outcome and 10% not so much, such as everything in life

Would I do it again? Absolutely

Hope this helps

I paid 500$ including the X Pipe itself
They are called Euro///Mpire
Owned by an ///M fan who owns a sweet white M4 heavily modded

600$ not too bad because he said he did it very cheap for the amount of work it requires hoping for more business to come from me

Did you ever get around to it? I think it's the Magnaflow 10792.

I had the 2.5" version of this on my '16 M3.

I see one by Totalflow - which has much better reviews. Anyone tried it?

So, is the F90 exhaust a true 3.00 inch diameter? What is the center to center diameter of the stock exhaust at the X-pipe. Stainless works are the X-pipes I have used and they sound awesome. They make one for the ZR-1 Vette that is 3.00 inch and has 4 1/8" center to center.

You're getting too scientific on me and down to the nitty gritty of this, but if I remember correctly yes 3" and I think now The Dinan Axle Back is even wider 3.2" with 4" Tips,

Correct me if I'm wrong peeps

Thanks for the info. Anyone else care to contribute any data that might help me find the right parts for this endeavor.

Thanks. The Stainless Works ZR-1 X-pipe, part # ZR1X, is 3.00 inch and should work perfect for this application. Great quality in all the parts I have bought from them in the past.

Summit carries almost their entire line but I usually buy direct from them because you can call and they will answer any questions you might have about their products.

Had this done today and it's very much worth it. I ordered the Magnaflow 3" SS xpipe from Amazon and brought it with me. Took them a while and they said the angles were a pain, but for $250 plus the xpipe, well worth it. At idle and easy driving I dont think there is much of a difference. In the upper RPM and full throttle I think it is quite a bit louder. Sound is great. Overrun is more pronounced.

Interested in that vid as well. Did you have it installed by a dealer or independent shop? Any welding involved? Not sure my dealer wouldn't give a hard time over it. Also any M5 Comps done this?

at $250 besides the cost of the pipe, it was most definitely not at the dealership. I'm sure a local muffler shop, and yes welding is involved lol

Good grief I didn't know I'd get homework
; -) I have a hard enough time getting pictures to post.

I don't think a video I post will sound any different than other videos. It's too hard to discern any difference from them. I couldn't tell from watching the videos before I had this done. Just wanted to post that yes, indeed, there is a noticable difference.
