Hi folks, my first BMW, Previous Corvette owner, C5, C6.
After looking all year visiting all local Dealers I took my first test-drive of standard M5 this week I was convinced on owning this car,I almost bought the M5 in Azurite Black but dealer wouldn't budge much.They did me a huge favor as I found a better deal somewhere else on a Comp. in a better color IMO.
The deciding factor was the relatively mild MSRP of $122.9k, lightly optioned was better for my budget.Options are Bowers, Exec.pack, Driving Assistance Plus, Carbon rear diffuser and Spoiler.I was concerned about the everyday drivability of the Comp, but after short test-drive I was impressed with it's road manners, much more of a sports car than non comp.

How’s the ride compared to the corvette? Is it as stiff? How does it feel power wise compared to the corvette? Does it push you into the seat as hard?

Compared to my C7 Zo6, my M5 is much quieter, rides much better and the M5 is faster. Win,win,win.

I owned Two non z06 Vettes both with Z51 suspension,I prefer the Firmer ride and tighter handling. Both Vettes with 400 hp or less.
with manuals, much slower than this car.

Congrats on the car! As a Corvette owner myself - I find it funny that at least stock - this massive family luxury car is quicker and faster than the Corvettes we bought lol.

Enjoy it - you will not be disappointed - on the road or at the track.
