2019 Comp (Donington Grey / Black / Exec package)
MSRP $115,995
Selling price: $106,135
MF: at buy rate
55% residual
Paid my TX state taxes plus acquisition fee upfront - no other money down
Monthly payment $1470

Of course, I will be now having 2 M5s in my garage; my 2016 still has 3 months to go but only $995 payment due to the screamer deal I got in 2016.

The car is not super loaded but the Exec package is the only thing that I want anyways so it worked out perfectly.

Wife was surprisingly calm about the whole thing.
congrats. what did your taxes and fees add up to?

Around $8K which included first month payment; full state taxes; doc fee was only $85 (which is a big bonus).

I know folks will call out that I should not pay cash down but this is my 8th BMW lease and psychologically I like to put my taxes down. I can afford to lose it (if the car gets totaled)

That is a legit build. Seems like a solid deal around. Don't like the $299 doc fee but it's ok to throw a bone.....congratulations.

Seems like a great deal. My custom will arrive in the first week of April. I like that you got 10% off MSRP with the adjusted MF.

I have only seen 8% off msrp earlier in this thread.

Congrats on your new arrival! I'm just beginning the gestation period with order status 111
The security deposits lowering money factor are through BMW financial and don't affect dealer margin (unless I'm wrong). My last CA wasn't even aware of the allowance until I brought it to his attention. Thanks to this board I've been schooled up nicely.

By the way, was this a custom build or you buying it from the lot?

You can do up to (7) security deposits (7 monthly payments) to reduce money factor. t’s safe money. Worth it to me.

Just ask your dealership finance person to crunch the numbers for you and you can decide if tying up the money for the life of the lease is worth it to you. For me it was a "no brainer" after seeing the savings in interest.

It's a double edged sword. You save money on the monthly, but lose the entire deposit if the car is totaled.

That is a good point.
I could be wrong if this changed recently, but I was under the impression the MSDs are returned to you regardless if the car is totaled. You only lose any cap cost reduction money made as a down payment.

Correct; MSDs, as far as I know, are not impacted if your car is totaled. Comes back to you.

Well, now I just got another offer from my dealer on a new base 2019:

MSRP: 119K
Offer price $107K
No MF markup
Pay taxes and doc fees upfront
Monthly payment $1470

The catch, the car has 1100 miles - the GM drove it and hence the reason for the discount.

Thoughts?

3546 down?

1776 is a bit much for a 113k car.
