OEM Brake Pad shortage?

Took my car to track a couple of times and wore through the brake pads. I tried to order online from discount shops and they called back and canceled my order because they could not source them. So I took to dealer, assuming they would have some in stock or at local warehouse. Nope. Car has been at shop for two weeks waiting for parts. Anyone else have this issue? Kind of annoying.

I used to track mine M3 and always had not one but two sets off pads and tires sitting in garage.

This is what happened if you wait last minute.

If you are planning to track more often do the same, it saves you frustration.

ACG Automotive should have pads available, give Girard a call at 858-633-1017

Thanks. That matches the most recent timing I got quoted. Bizarre that they would run out.

F90 isn’t scheduled for pads for 30k miles. Not many have that yet. 😈
I have my order in for a front set for another track weekend end of April.

I echo this. I'm on my second set of front pads, and installed my third set of rears at the track when I wore them down to to backing plates.

I have now turned off DSC, which was causing the premature rear wear (this chassis is pretty controllable), but the fronts have worn quite well. First set of front pads lasted me six track days and one set of tires. But I ordered a set of fronts from the dealer and they are on national back order.

Come on pagid, get to making those pads. And make a set of decent track pads for this beast while you're at it.

FYI, still no pads available from BMW. This is nuts. I've been waiting for six weeks.
