Recall question

Hi guys I have a 2019 Oct registered M5 comp it was manufactured in nov 18. I've done 5k miles it's never had a service apart from the running in service. They are saying there's a fuel sensor recall with the ecu software etc. My question will my pops and bangs go after they do the software update? It's pre OPF.

Actually I also have the same concern. Dealer called me that there’s a software update/recall and I feel like the emissions demons breathing down our necks...

Any way to know what the software update will change prior to getting it?

Not sure about the UK, but here in the US the pops and bangs remain after the latest software update. However, they are definitely toned down on downshifts.

Agreed.

At first I didn't notice, but had a good run yesterday and they are toned down.

BMW keep chasing me to get this booked, however im not going to bother until September 2021 when the next service is due with warranty check. Then what will be will be as I plan to get evolve to put their map on it so will code the burbles/pops back in if needed. The car will be 3 years old then.

The dealership scared me with saying car can get in flames and I've had it done on my stage 2 car - now having issues with engine shutting down at kickdowns without any errors ( after writing in old map )
On stock it works ok but it's slow for me.

If in UK, I thought all F90Comps had OPFs?
Mine is Jan 19 production and I believe it has them...looks like a silencer on eggsauce under front seats

Had the recall and software update and the pops and bangs are louder. Not so much on the upshift though
