It's a camera that detects if you're becoming fatigued. If it detects that you're becoming fatigued, a message pops up in the display suggesting a break.

I guessed it was something along those lines.
Is it included with driving assistance plus?

It looks like it was automatically added when BMW switched to the BMW Live Cockpit which are the new digital gauges.

It looks like your from Sweden so maybe there is some country specific reason why your car doesn't have it.

You're not really missing much by not having the Driver Attention Camera since it doesn't really serve a particularly useful purpose.

Found this

Behind the steering wheel, BMW has installed a camera, in the instrument cluster which will be watching the driver's face to check whether he or she is paying attention to the road. This optical camera will basically make sure that if you engage the features of the Extended Traffic Jam Assistant system – which is optional, part of a $1,700 package – you are still paying attention to the road ahead without you having to keep your hand on the steering wheel, as it was the case before.

Maybe this is included with the driving assistance professional? But I didn't chose this package as i don't like the driving assistance things.
And i rather be without the instrument camera anyway.

I have the Driver Assistance Plus package on an F90 19 Comp, and there are options for driver attentitiveness - standard, etc. and it has a cup of coffee. But I don't have the udpated dash so where is the camera on the pre-facelift models?

the IR sensors are only on the LCI.

Pre LCI only uses sensors in the steering wheel to keep your hands on it which can be coded off.

Other than that, no "attention" sensors pre-LCI
