I choose the e90 b/c it's easier to fit two kids in the back. They love to say my daddy's car is faster than yours. I love the coupe but it's a pain the ass for them to crawl in the back. As far as style goes it's all subjective. Either way it's a cool car - age has nothing to do with it.

The doors are heavy? Seriously? If so you better get to the gym and quick!!! I sure don't want them to feel light. Although they're certainly not heavy by any means. The automatic is stupid. I noticed the 2 second delay on my loaner, which was a e90 328. When the light turns green I want to be able to ease of the brake and allow the car to slowly start rolling forward as traffic begins to move. This annoyed me a great deal. Obviously you found out why you bought the e90. |

I got the E90 over the E92 as well. No kids, mid 20s, hardly anybody rides in the car with me. But I actually like the look and lines of the 4 door better than the 2 door. I always have with most BMWs. E36, E46, I like the sedans better.
It's more practical, but it wasn't a selling point for me. I don't have any issues with a blind spot from the B-pillar personally. I'm not that tall and don't need any gangster lean so my head is just forward of the B-pillar, and my mirrors are adjusted properly anyway (those who know, know). At one of the recent autocrosses I was in an E92, and couldn't believe that I BARELY fit in the car with a helmet on. Seat was all the way down and not that upright. The helmet was just touching the headliner, and I'm only 5'8".

S4... yes, the sedan is definitely more practical than the coupe, but until I need to start supplementing fiber into my diet I'll just stick with my E92. Actually, I can't lie, I do take psyllium husk from time to time.

I think this is a great post. I had an E90 335i before my 135i, and find almost all those same things about the coupe to be annoying, especially the seat adjustment. I found the sport seat in my sedan to be super comfortable. In this car, its a PITA to get right. At least the E92 has a seatbelt helper. You're in for the long reach with a 135i. Backseat access for my daughter was sure nice in that four door too. The thing I hated the most on my E90 was the way the headlights looked. The E92 headlights look ten thousand times better. The E90 headlights look like an old person's car. |

I had to double check the A/C vent and it works and focuses on the passenger side perfectly. What was wrong with your rental? Did it not angle towards the passenger seat?

I wouldn't race a bimmer sedan in the first place...wouldn't want to embarrass the drivers in front of their grand children in the back seat
