With all due respect to that rendering, ours should be much more accurate as it's based off leaked CAD images.

This article mentions the M5 moving from a DCT to an automatic with a wet-clutch system. Sounds similar to the system used in the new 2018 Mercedes E63S?
I'm guessing the M5 is losing the DCT due to the 100% RWD requirement. Out of curiosity does anyone know what the limitation is on an AWD system with DCT in terms of rear wheel bias? Porsche stuck with a dual clutch setup for the Panamera's. Are automatics now just as good as dual clutches?

The MCT transmission in the e63 has the wet clutch in place of the torque converter within the transmission. To be clear I expect the m5 to have a torque converter just as the rs7 has since I expect the m5 to have a ZF unit |

Hmm, what I like about the current M cars is the DCT box compared to the various AMG cars and the RS6/7. Will be interesting to see how this pans out

Please for the love of everything good and right in this world make the new M5 look this good. I had the F10 M5 and part of my problem with it was the lack of differentiation from the standard 5 series M Sport. I also thought it had some awkward angles on it, but this render is super aggressive.

Get the hell out of here with that M2 style side grille on the fender. I wish these renderers had a little more imagination than that.
