F90 S63 Reliability

Whats up guys, i’m almost 20k miles into my F90 and I was thinking its time for a power upgrade. Who are some recommended tuners on this forum, set ups for stock internals, and how can I save my rods from bending?

depends how much power you want to add.

for a nice noticeable 60-100 HP bump you have Racechip, plug and play can do yourself in about 10 minutes. And JB4 which is a little more in-depth install. but still not overly complicated. Similar in terms of gains.

Ive had race chip on my 19 M5C for about 2.5-3 years, and no issues. I do usually put 95 octane in just to make sure I have good fuel though.

If you want more power than that you have a lot of options, but again just depends how much power you want. You will need rods, turbo upgrades and some other things like transmission upgrades and tuning once you get up there in power. But theres a lot of examples of F90s around the forum with a lot of power. Ive not considered going further than my race chip so thats about all I can offer.

I would put JB4 way ahead of Racechip for piggybacks. It is more capable, has more inputs, can run meth, and can datalog. Racechip is easier to install.

Since the OP mentioned tuners, I assume he means he is looking at flash tunes. I run a BM3 OTS tune for 93, and BMS has other OTS tunes for various stages and octanes. You get one free with the software license. You can also pay about double and get a custom tune that might make 5% more power. There are a bunch of tuners, but the ones I would use are Utku Noa or Halim at HCP.

I ran JB4 for a year or so and then flashed since I was adding more mods and left the JB4 running meth. Beware cars from late 2020-on need an ECU unlock.
