Surprising Range on Fill-Up!

I had known the Beast could be reasonably fuel efficient when using cruise control, but what happened yesterday surprised me.

So hear's the back story. Took the kids out to Hersheypark for a few days. We live right off Route 78 in NJ, and Hershey is effectively right off the same highway, about a 2 hour drive away. Coming home yesterday morning I got on the highway in Hershey and set the cruise control for 82 mph. There were times when I had to disengage it due to traffic, but for the most part just cruised our way home. Stopped about 20 minutes from home to refuel and the range estimate jumped to 494 miles when I restarted the car and eventually crept up to 503 after we started driving again! The highest I've ever seen prior was maybe 450-something. Anyone ever seen a higher range?

I've gotten 523 before! Surprised the heck out of me as well. Haven't been able to get it back up there since I got my radar installed :P

I'm in Bernards Township, pretty close to Bridgewater. I'm a member of Cars & Croissants managed by a couple guys from Harding, but since COVID hit they've not held any meets.

Awesome numbers! Best I have ever got is 475, briefly, then dropped back to the usual 430.
Roads are pretty congested in UK 😣

The highest reading I had was 539
I like to use one gas station near my house
driving home from work , around 38 mile trip
the car at start was showing 20 miles to empty , so I drove barely touching the gas paddle in efficient mode
on arrival at gas station , car showed 1 mile to empty
after fill up boom 539
