M Performance side sill decals

New car came with them. I can’t decide if I like them or not. Getting rocker panel PPF done so if I’m removing them now is the time. Is there a consensus on this?

Separately, I do love the carbon fiber side blades that are on the car. Thanks for thoughts!

I'm a bit indifferent on decals generally; my main concern is "M Performance", which I now associate with the inbetweener line BMW has introduced (e.g. M550, M340, etc.). If it were just an "M" logo on the decal, that would be better.

Carbon fiber side skirts are awesome!

Agreed, the black added above the CF is nice, but the text is 'advertising lingo' and again when every BMW is an M car, none of them will be M cars.....

Do your M5 a favor, lose the decals.

To do the PPF correctly, they should remove the decal. Keep it off. I think it will look cleaner.

The side skirts look good.

I'm not a fan of the decals but it's your car so do whatever works for you.

Get rid of them. First off, if you have the actual sills...the decal will take away from those. I don't even think the decals end (at the rear) at the same place the sills come out at....

Only non-M cars have M performance badging 99.9% of the time. That's because real M cars do not need to display that.

Never understood or liked these decals on sideskirts. They make the car look higher :

Well the response seems unanimous. Now I have to wonder if they can be removed without screwing up the clear coat or paint. Will have to hear from the PPF guy. Thanks all.

The Performance letters can be painted black and then PPF on top.

I kind of liked the bi-color but I get all black is meaner. I was thinking about getting the black chrome exhaust pipes. The regular chrome bothers me a little back there.

To be honest I bought this particular M5 for the paint color. It blew my mind in person and then I couldn’t let it go. All the other options were secondary after that.

I do not mind them. I was going to pull them but they have grown on me with the wheels.

Good choice on removing them. The decals look terrible.
