Thanks guys. I figured that a PDR service would be able to straighten it out. Luckily the dent is a dimple, and not a crease. From what I understand a crease could be harder to get out. None the less, I have a couple of texts out to different PDR guys that were recommended by friends.

Man I totally feel your pain! I once knocked something off of a shelf overhanging my GTR. I caught it...but then lost my balance and put a dent very similar to the one you have there in my car...with my hand, as I tried to stop myself from falling! 🤦🤦🤦

That should pull out no problem, good luck with it.

As long as we're in "mea culpa" mode, back in December I was coming around a blind curve only to discover an asshole on his phone in a pickup in my lane. I instinctively swerved and ran off the soft median, but side-swiped the entire right side against trees and brush. A mere $10k in repairs set me back to good as new. It looks perfect- great body shop- but my resale/trade value is shot.

sure. only one caveat, sometimes when they do pdr, they use different tools to tap the dent etc. usually afterwards, it ends up with a small little mark where they were doing the repair. To remove this mark, they would use compound to clean it up and be on their way. As most know here, compound is NOT to be used on any matte finish. So long as there is no mark left behind, the use of compound won't be needed. I actually just painted my first overall vehicle with a Matte finish. Challenging clearcoat to spray for sure. |

I am usually much calmer if I did something to my car vs some random person not being careful.

Most have been there. I crushed the read door on my Macan Turbo on a bollard by a gas station pump that I didn’t see. Got away lucky with new door skin, paint, 2k.
My wife backed through the unopened garage door. Hey, we needed new ones. She backed into our cleaning lady’s car. She backed into my friend’s car. Both of the above in our driveway. We don’t call her Crash for nothing. My daughter came into our driveway too fast and totaled my wife’s Highlander into our tree. I could go on. |

LOL. Crash. I love it. I could call my wife that, but instead she is stuck with the moniker Miss Direction, because directionality eludes her. We were once exploring a new neighborhood in which we made a right into the neighborhood off a busy highway. We travelled a block, and made another right, and when we did not see anything we were interested in, I was going to make the block to get back to the highway. Those of you paying attention, which direction should I have turned? Correct, right, but NOPE! Miss Direction was convinced that we should have turned left! For that and many other instances like it, she has duly earned her nickname! But Crash. That is hilarious, ha ha. You win!

Never like the look of sheds in the yard. None the less, the PDR guy did a fantastic job, and the lawn equipment has been relocated to the other side of the garage.
