Yeah the back of the door handle is supposed to be the unlock area, and the little ribbed area on the front of the handle is the lock...

I’m finally getting used to the Comfort Access, door handle, lock/unlock operation; it’s starting to feel natural.

But, I “occasionally” still drive my 550i and find myself “almost” reaching for the door handle to unlock it and then stop, re-group and press the fob...

If you ever need to get the rear carpet cover open in the trunk, there's a little flat head screwdriver in the supplied toolkit on the driver's side in the trunk. Its perfect size for prying the corner of the carpet cover up if you need to get to the battery.

I should clarify... with my key fob in pocket the car unlocks upon pulling the door handle to open the door (you are correct in that it doesn’t unlock as I approach). My problem is when I touch the “lock” area on the handle and linger on it instead of just pulling on the handle ( like when touching handle to lock) it then in turn locks the car again on me. I have to unlearn this behaviour!

You can also close the windows by holding down the lock button on key fob.

Found out yesterday that when AC is in auto mode you can adjust the fan speed. On my other cars the Auto AC mode would turn off if you adjusted the fan speed.

Yeah the AC on the F90 isn't as auto as one would expect, lol. To build on what you said, one of it's quirks would be that the driver side doesn't blow as hard even if the fan is set on a high setting IF the passenger fan speed is set to a very low setting.

interesting fact that I found out is that there is no latch or release buckle for the rear seats to fold down. Are US/ Euro spec cars different to Asia?

Thanks Mike, I’m now educated! Unlock Icon is clearly there on my app and I just checked- it unlocks the car no problem. Dealership couldn’t get it to work at the time though. Might have been since I just subscribed when the event happened? Who knows... as my kids say “ technology is wasted on adults”!

Yup. Interesting side note, dealership gave me a new X9 to drive while my car got an oil change....it unlocks the car as you approach it. It also locks it as you walk away. Kinda cool at first but found out later that it got confused unloading stuff from back and would lock it as I approached....lol.

That’s good info. I should have tested that yesterday, it was really hot and humid and I had to run to the grocery store to get more items before the hurricane (Dorian) gets here tomorrow and the Auto AC just wasn’t cooling as fast as I wanted. I will test that feature later. My 550i turns the Auto off when the fan speed is adjusted, as mentioned.

Is there a way to make the seats move back when you open the door?

The interior lighting color is actually illuminated by midichlorians. If you have a light saber handy, you can wave it in front of the lighting and it’ll change color automatically to match your saber color. Very convenient.

^^ This!!! That's the one thing I miss about my old CTSV. Neither my F10 or F90 does this.

Erm... why should they? That's why the steering wheel moves out of the way. My Passat does the thing with the seats but then again the steering wheel remains static.

Or why would you want both things?
