V Brace Bars

Just thought I would ask, as no help from dealer, before approaching BMW UK.

I have an F90 M5, registered last month and a VIN search on RealOEM shows production date 10/18.

The V brace bars behind the front grille are matt black. Every other car I've seen has gloss black, as were my 2018 F80 M3 Comp.

Pic for reference - excuse the dirt!

Anyone have a similar age M5 to compare?

I've had a series of blags from the dealer - they simply don't know the answer, as to whether it is a fault, or they're supposed to be like that...

I am washing my car shortly, will check and report back - mine was delivered October 18 so a similar build date.

My first F90 was a 10/18 non comp car. It was gloss on this.

My present F90CP has the bars finished in matt.

I would be interested to know if there are any differences other than the finish.
Even if BMW have got them from different suppliers, surely they should be identical in specification right down to the finish?!

I don't think the dealers know the correct answer.

The bars are certainly round (some are flat) but I will keep seeking the answer.

They look unfinished to me. No big deal to leave, paint, or swap out, I was simply seeking and answer...
