I haven't. Not flashing to a BM3 tune until I'm refunded on the 19th. When I get back home on the 20th I plan on flashing to an OTS BM3 tune to see if it works.

Gen 2. Cam, upper and lower pulleys, intake, full exhaust, drag pack. 693/695 on E85. All that and hardly 0.3 faster in the 1/4 versus the stock M5 time I've gotten. Lol. I've got so much hope for this platform if a tune will just take.

I have nothing to add to this thread other than WTF?!?!? Are you sure you have an M5? I'm lucky if I get double digit MPG.

Same here! Even without your mods.

Was supposed to be last week but the German engineer had a medical emergency so it was rescheduled. I plan on trying out a BM3 OTS tune when I'm back home tomorrow or Saturday to see if that even works and will report back.

Nice. Now I can't even use the car. It won't start now. So BM3 failed as well. Tried force flash and unlock like it said and then got the same error. Guess I'll try recover…[IMG][/IMG]

Di you have a power supply hooked up to the car to provide a steady 12.6V or higher?

I don’t have any other ideas. I use a power supply instead of a battery charger but the charger should work though it is not the ideal choice. I just attach under the hood to the jump start terminal and ground. Never seen the battery in the trunk before. Looks like there is a little space there to store tools or little used items.

I assume you are precisely following the flashing instructions in terms of not opening doors, etc. XHP tells you to gave the seatbelt on, but I don’t think BM3 does. Door has to stay closed.

Yep. Door closed. Accessory switch on. Seatbelt over my lap so seat and steering wheel engages. The flashes are "successful", but the coding is not applied. This explains all the issues I've had with Dinan and NP. The flashes were "successful" but no updated values were applied. For whatever reason, this caused hella issues with BM3 and now the car won't even attempt to start, even when codes are cleared. I can't flash back to stock because the DME software is newer than the flashes that are available. So everything is making sense now but the other vendors' methods didn't make the car inoperable.

That sucks. I have read about newer ECU needing to be unlocked but maybe Dinan and Noelle unlocked to flash and then relocked so a BM3 would not work. I assumed the flash would simply not occur though rather than leave you stranded.

In the main menu, it says that it's unlocked and ready to flash. That's why I tried it. But I can't flash to stock and re-lock because of the software being new. It's big suck. Lol. Not surprised though.

I would try charging the battery overnight and then flashing again. If you read up on power supplies vs chargers for flashing there are some differences. These cars can draw more amps than the charger puts out and the charger is not as stable and may be at higher than desired voltage. Some expensive chargers do have a flashing feature though.

Everything completed successfully so it's not that. It even states a charger is recommended, but not required. I had just got done driving over 220 miles so the system was fully charged. No electrical, etc. Fans off, lights off, the works.

Man, I can emphasize. I got stuck at a gas station once switching between tunes. Unfortunately there's no 24/7 support. Hopefully you get this all figured out.

They replied to 2 emails in an hour and 15 minutes before they closed- after I asked for them to even call me or to remote in with TeamViewer, etc. The extent of the emails was to take a picture of a screen with software ID's and nothing after that. Shitty customer service. So it's dead until next week when they can figure something out. I just tried every flash option to no avail so I'm done messing with it.

Yeah, I think they are good at problem solving so I suspect you'll get squared away, it's just waiting. Is your car at home?

Yeah I got it in the garage at least. Bout the only positive. I may disconnect the battery tomorrow and let it sit for a bit to see if that can help.

Do you get error messages when flashing? Like powertrain and stuff? I have one for engine oil, too.

All kinds of messages and chimes during, but they should clear up as it finishes.

Ok. I can check that off the list then. Lol. This purchase (F90) has been a nightmare and pretty much regret it at this point. Ready to set it on fire and roll it down a hill.
