So my first drive was back and forth to the shop to have my 15/11 spacers installed so I don't tuck like a 4runner.

I can't give you guys a comprehensive impression yet as I haven't had time to try all the different settings. First few miles it feels more comfy than my E63S wagon was, it also feels lighter on its feet. The shifts in S+ aren't as aggressive which is good, sometimes the AMG used to do this awkward lurch thing in first which I haven't yet felt in the M5. Sound is as aggressive on the outside but BMW doesn't seem to pipe fake exhaust noise through the speakers, or they do it less, so it's less noisy inside.

I'll have more later. Right now it's getting a detail and then off to PPF, tint, and reflector removal/swap, so I won't have it back till the end of the week.

Is so much more comfortable than our sleds by benz LOL.

BMW does pipe the sound in but once you get the exhaust you will be happier; further you can code it out. The inside is so well insulated so thats probably why you feel its less noisy inside.

Yeah it doesn't do that first gear lurch either. The exhaust was the only area where the M5 lacked against the E63s. It's just better.

Much better with spacers. Needs a drop and it would look even better.
Did you pick what exhaust you will go with?

Back from tint (15% ceramic) ... reflector delete on Friday and then prolly exhaust. I don't think she really needs a drop tbh, but that might change.

I think with the CE the stance is pretty spot on; as you get the 10mm lower ride height via the springs.

Congrats Serge.

Thanks bud.

Stance wise, I have to say that I am considering getting a set of wheels. Two reasons really ... first, I don't love being on spacers and would prefer riding on a set of wheels with the exact desired offset. Second, the tire width looks a little narrow to me and would prefer something wider front and back.

On the other hand you know what nice high quality wheels are going to cost, and I don't usually keep cars long enough to justify the hit and hassle of selling them at the back end.

All of this is to say that I don't want to mess with ride height before I decide on rims as the thinner sidewall will obviously affect the drop.

Bleh ... having gone through this process so many times before, leaving well enough enough is now oft favored over messing with it too much. It's not like the car looks like asspoop as it is.

OEM wheels of today look really good on so many models--- they just always have them sitting inward. I dont mind spacers as long as they are built to hubcentric specs and mounted correctly. Heck Porsche used to add spacers on the 991.1's via the msrp sheet.

I think the Black Beetle looks just fine as is. Ive been running spacers on the R8, C63 BS, and F90 with no issues. And I drive the car(s) fast like Sicario is chasing me on the Mexican Toll Roads!!

Ugh... this car might be the tipping point for me on a BSM Comp M5...

Did you PPF? With black I'd probably pony up to do the whole car.

I'm really very much feeling the need to attend Oktoberfest in Munich again...

PPF the front bumper, hood, front fenders, mirrors, rockers. Ceramic Pro on the whole car in a few days.

Hmm, it was literally a year ago today that I bought her ...

She's up for sale if anyone is interested: https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1689166

A year might be a record for me.
