I'm wondering if "when" a thread get's deleted etc, do thoes points get lost,
also can you undo rep points that you have given, mind you I find it hard that nearly 60 odd points have been lost that way?

I've only got 108, I'm sure I had closer to 500

I thought whenever someone appreciates your post it goes up by 1. Will be interested to see how this works going forward. There are some that can game the system so maybe this will prevent some of that, not that the numbers matter since we don't get paid for our rep but certainly it helps the site and keeps advertisers happy, and allows enthusiasts another means to connect with one another.

It will really depend on the coolness of your posts. For example: if you have really awesome posts, like me, then each appreciate will count as 2 on OT. And 3 in tech forums. It will be like a convoluted hockey game point system.

The rep score should take into account how long you've been on the forum. For an example, I've only been here since 2016 and have 436. If someone else has been here for like 10 years and has over 1K actually I'm more popular given the amount of time I've had to accumulate points yet having almost half as many points less than half the time, so the score should be reflective of that and adjust over time.

You talking about us OG like that, you #whippersnapper. I had to walk uphill both way to get those points, and I didn't have no phone app to do it either. Couldn't get reps by hanging out in OT, had to actually CONTRIBUTE something of value.
