M5C - 19” Snow tire / wheel assembly with ccb?
My local dealer here (small enough that I may be the only m5 with ceramic brakes) said they can’t sell me the standard 19” wheels + tires, that BMW says the tolerance is too tight. Instead I’m just getting a tire swap.
Just wanted to confirm they’re not mistaken. Anyone know? I believe the 19” wheels are called 705’s. I found another thread saying that m5c and m5 can take the same wheels. To be clear it’s the CCB that I’m questioning. I was kind of excited for some 19’s for a softer winter ride |

Another one here!!! I just have my 20" swapped for the winter package this week. It is the BMW option and it works just fine!
BTW - the car is just a tank in the snow with that package! |

Just confirming installation of the 19” winter assembly wheels went great on my m5c with CCB. Installed this morning. Thanks all.
The car really is much softer over New England bumps now. Kinda digging it....they’re nice looking too. I’d attach a pic but I don’t see an upload button. |

View post on imgur.com As for the paperclip icon....this is what I've been seeing on mobile: View post on imgur.com Ahh...just figured out I can go to a desktop computer and click a button called "Go Advanced" which takes me to a different screen with the paperclip...ok, so using that: |

You should not have any issues running them through the whole winter. This is my third year with the same setup and still in the original set of winter tires. Your summer set will also last longer!!! Enjoy THE BEAST!!! |

Those 19s are my daily wheels year round.
I love the taller sidewall look. meatier. They have the same contact patch as the 20s, so performance is identical, and the ride is so much better in the northeast pothole-laden roads. Only reason for 20s is appearance. Glad to know that I can fit 19s on the LCI with competition if I decide to go comp when my current lease is up in May'21. |

Agree 100%. Not only the same contact patch, but the tires also have the same outside diameter, so they fill the wheel wells identically to the 20's.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I just wanted to confirm because I've read so many other posts that say CCBs will require 20" for winter.
wicked_wicked , fun2drv and Realnyc8 can you confirm you are / were using 408m wheels with winter tires? I have a LCI CP F10 M5 with Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB) and was hoping to do the staggered 408m with the Pirelli Sottozero's. I've read lots of places that say it won't work and that I'd need 409m, but they are nearly impossible to find... Thanks in advance!!! |

And yes, F10 M5 with ccb needs 20" wheels. This is because the F10 front ccb are 410mm, while the F90 front ccb are actually smaller, only 400mm.
