Daily preferential mode
So for those who have really settled into the car as I have, what's your go to configuration on your M1 button? I've owned since 5/18 and have about 16k on the clock. My go to is, engine sport plus, steering and suspension on sport, D2, DSC on, M heads up display and start / stop button off.

I got M1 as my "commuting mode " Engine Sport Plus, Steering Sport, Suspension Comfort, D2 for transmission and MDM mode for traction, HUD in normal mode. M2 for exhaust pops and drifts mostly! Engine Sport Plus, Steering Sport, Suspension Sport, S3 for transmission and 2WD Trac OFF. M HUD

M1 (go-to mode for spirited driving)=Engine Sport Plus, Suspension Sport Plus, Steering Comfort, MDM, 4WD Sport, manual shifting. Steering in sport and beyond is too artificially heavy imo, makes no sense to me.

Those are just quick setting buttons that change multiple settings with one press. But it's ultimately the settings you choose. Watch if you put it in efficient for your M2, pops and burbles will go away. |

M1 - Daily driving is sport, sport, sport, mdm 4wd sport and D2. I know it's a BMW and meant to be driven hard but from work to home average speed is 40mph; so I feel no need to waste gas in sport plus lol!
Unless, I want to flex as many mentioned here with the burbles, I'll go into M2 mode - sport plus, sport, sport, mdm 4wd sport, S3 with M HUD. |

In ESP mode? Makes sense, cause she hangs in the gears longer.

For daily commute: Engine Sport, Suspension comfort, Steering comfort, MDM 4wd Sport traction.
The hoon mode: Engine Sport Plus, Suspension Comfort, Steering Comfort, 4wd Traction Off. I feel like setting suspension to anything above comfort, makes for sh**** and overly stiff ride (m5 comp). Also the car doesn't put the power down as well from a standstill (confirmed by draggy). For steering, making it sport or sport plus just makes it artificially heavy... tried a few times, and it is definitely not for me... |

Pretty aggressive in winter! Don't you get a decent amount of snow?

That's a lot of everyday comfort for fair weathered SD w/ glass smooth roads! lol I have family in Coronado, so I know. If you lived near me, you might need 15" rims to get the sidewall comfort you need!
