Glock 19
Glock 19 is a great all-around firearm, and when I did carry it was my go-to. 15+1 with hot loads in a very controllable package inspires a lot of confidence.

You might say it's the F90 of pistols. ;-)

The Glock is the AMC Pacer of Guns. But the Glocks shoot so nice! I prefer having a safety/decocker leaver. You carry your Glock condition 1?

Beretta M9, that's a great weapon, great looking, shoots great, 15+1 also and handles plus p no problem. Of course in NY is the 7+1 neutered gun club for us.

Even my Nano is better looking than a Glock, but DO NOT USE Plus P ammo in a Nano. I found out the hard way.

Hey Mike. There is no condition one for Glock's really. I did carry with one in the chamber.

Pacer? LOL. Not sure I could quite go there…
When I compare a Glock 19 to the F90 I mean that it's a very versatile sidearm that can fill a lot of roles. Probably my favorite all around pistol. Good for concealed carry but not so small that handling is a problem. 16 rounds is no small feat either (pre ban mags). And, with combat grips, good feel and easy on the hands when plinking. Never jams, keeps on ticking.

Sorry for the total hijack.

Haha agreed. We carry it overseas and train with it all the time so I figured it's the most pragmatic choice. I got the F90C version though (G19X)

The Glock is a Striker Fired so with one in the chamber that is condition one for all intents and purposes. IE NO safety, accept for the dual trigger. I have law enforcement friends who admit to snagging their trigger on their Glock.....bang....thus one of my concerns with the Nano since it's very similar.

That's why I would not carry a 1911 since condition one with a 1911 is dangerous despite the hand strap compression 'safety'. You need one hand draw and fire in a real scrape. I think that is part of the beauty of a Glock. I don't own a Glock just to be contrary to my friends who do.

The Beretta M9 in Condition Two works for me. I practice 'draw and take safety off' with one motion.

But all in all, any quality fire arm does the job.

What, you did not like the AMC Pacer dig? All that beautiful glass and both horsepower. What's not to like?

Mike
