Having read most of the posts over the past year on this thread and other off-topic threads, the digs have definitely gone both ways between LJ and a few other forum members. I have no interest in going back and figuring out how it all started because it really doesn't matter, but my fuzzy recollection of the posts between LJ and some other members was her reacting to negative posts directed at her. The whole whole thing was pretty sad actually, regardless of who started it. I think all the players involved add value to the content of these threads.

But also saturating this forum by posting un-funny and sometimes bitter pictures/memes/digs. Hope she is well, but no love lost here. I come here to laugh. Case and point. Good morning Irish themed, or motorcycle pics, does not contribute to the funny thread. Yet you could measure them by the dozen.

So in retrospect, in the last week the traffic may have reduced, but content per post may have increased.

There should be a French motorcycle mademoiselle sub forum just for her.

Well one thing I'm fairly certain about is that she will be back. And when she is back, I'm hoping she's learned her lesson and stops her previous behaviour. If she wants to post legit stuff / funny stuff / ask real questions, have at it, more than welcome here. But she needs to stop with the passive aggressive digs and the endless spamming of nonsense pictures to threads that add no value at all, etc.

So wtf happened? Feel like i took a slash and walked in the room after someone blew a valve and i've missed all the gossip.

My 2c, I knew as soon as she arrived she felt like the only chicken in the rooster pen and there was a lot of self validation going on. i never really enjoyed her posts as most were not funny despite the saturation but they never really bothered me either. However if i remember correctly, she was attacked first before retaliating some time ago.

Long story short, a number of members told her point blank, to her face, what they didnt like about her. A back and forth tit for tat ensued and those members were banned. Jane was not. Some other members posted their displeasure with that and they too were banned. At one point I warned a member who was complaining about all the people being banned to be careful less he too wind up banned. Jane promptly got in the middle of me warning that member and in her post to me tagged the forum admins (not mods, admins). A clear warning to me not to step out of line. That member I was warning was banned. While she is currently banned from OT she's able to post elsewhere and it seems has been following some of the folks from the OT section over to other areas, interacting with them, and they then get banned. There's a trail of carnage behind her.

If she returns, let's hope everyone just settles down. This business of ringing up forum admins to act as your personal hit squad is not cool.

As usual there's blurred lines in these matters. Calling someone out to their face is a bit harsh, maybe a few PM's may have helped? At the same time, one has to be aware of their own behavior and particular saturation posting, existing members will feel like you've come in and tried to strong arm the forum into your own private podium.

Thanks for the background. I am generally clueless unless I'm the one the in mix-up (that doesn't happen often), so I had no idea the level to which this situation had gone.

I'm not here to take sides at all. I just remember thinking her posts were mostly fun and she had fun with word play and innuendos. The selfies never bothered me but then again I was not upset with her so my lens wasn't tainted.

What I thought I saw was a life-loving bimmer and beemer owner with an honorable profession speaking her mind and not afraid to word spar with members who openly challenged her.

I like your second to last sentence the best. "If she returns, let's hope everyone just settles down." There's room enough around here for all of us!
