Bluetooth phone issue
I have an iPhone X, updated to most recent software, iOS 13.1.2; during phone calls, the phone loses connection repeatedly with the car. Anyone else having this issue?

I had that happen once or twice on a phone call but fortunately it is a rare occurrence in my experience. Such issues are a PITA. Intermittent software bugs are a pain to diagnose.
I have had trouble with the bluetooth streaming cutting out for ONE particular app I use. It appears better since updating to 13.x.x. Streaming was fine for all other apps. This was only happening in the M5 not my '15 q7 or Sienna. Will be watching this tread.... Mike

I'm having this problem constantly despite all my efforts to correct the problem. I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro Max on iOS 13.1.3, and the issue occurs most frequently on the latest software version.

Same problem, so when I just had my car serviced, I mentioned it and had the software updated...and it is still the exact same problem. My service advisor said it "is an Apple problem," but my phone works great (and all my contacts appear, etc.) in my wife's newer Audi SQ5, my older GMC Denali, and my friend's newer Jeep Cherokee...so I don't blame Apple. Very annoying. Please post any fix ideas. Thank you.

After updating to ios 13, my Carplay would maybe connect 20% of the time. I would try removing from idrive and my iPhone with no success. I'm on apple's public beta updates, and I just recently updated my phone to 13.2. After the update, I removed and re-added everything, and my Carplay now works 100% of the time. It's only been a week now, but it looks like it was something in the ios update that fixed my connection issues with Carplay. There seems like there are a lot of connection issues after upgrading to ios13, and Apple is starting to fix them.

It’s not an Apple issue, it’s a BMW compatibility issue. There is an iDrive update out that might fix it, otherwise, another iDrive update is expected soon which should correct the issue

Which version? My phone cuts out all the time since updating to 13.2. It does it on phone calls, streaming music via carplay, etc.

Maybe off topic but when I'm on phone through Bluetooth, opening the driver door and stepping out doesn't move the conversation to the phone unless the car is locked! It's annoying bcos now I need to manually transfer the call from car Bluetooth to phone every time before stepping out of the car.
This wasn't the case with my previous cars. |
