This is true. I still have some play but it's much less than what it used to be. After getting a new clutch, the car feels like new. Unbelievable. My mechanic found pieces broken off of the clutch that were just loose making noises and causing damage. I remember when I did the damage too. I was trying to redline in 2nd gear when I heard a loud wheezing noise like the car sucked up pebbles off of the road. From that moment, I had a lot of trouble getting the shifter into gears even when I was depressing the clutch all the way. I don't know how I drove the car in that condition for a whole week.

I had the following replaced:

Clutch Kit
Clutch Pressure Plate
Shift Lever Bushing
Oil Cooler Seal
Gearshift Rod Joint BMW OEM
Clutch Pivot Pin Plastic
Rogue Engineering Oval Delrin Carrier Bushing Kit
