See both colours in the sun and slightly cloudy conditions. I would travel a little to see both colours in the flesh before spending serious money

Agreed, sunny lighting makes a big difference on how a car color comes out. I chose MBB for mine. I thought the design of the M5 was quite subdued and needed a bit of flash.

Take a look at this shot of MBB in the sun: https://goo.gl/images/5s2Pcp

DG is definitely a nice color too, my second choice.

Marina Bay Blue has more depth than pictures can display. We have one here at my dealership and it really is captivating.

I ordered DG. During a weak moment I considered Snapper Rocks.

2012 F10 M5  [0.00]
Haha.....same issue! I'm not sure anyone will know that I've actually got a new car as current F10 is MonteBlue/ Silverstone and new F90 will be MBB/ Silverstone. Car will have same reg as well. I was thus considering SnapperR but MBB won the day, no matter it may not be so obvious a change.

You really have to see MBB in the metal, it has SO!! much depth and sparkle in the sun. It truly is a special colour.

Sorry Donnington fans (and there seems to be a lot!) but it's another metallic grey and thus, to my eyes at least, makes the F90 look like a normal 5 series exec saloon, not the special car it is....albeit I get a lot of us like the stealthiness of the M5.

BUT to be completely honest (and to completely contradict myself...doh!) the very best colour I've seen on the F90 to date in pics is Nardo Grey. Wowzers!! BMW HK say it's not an available colour but I'm going to challenge that although my production is June so window closing on any changes..

I suspect this post hasn't helped at all...Anyway MBB has a depth and sparkle like no other standard paint option IMO.

So I like grey.
I'm 59, liberally speckled with gray hair, and I'm waiting on the M5 to be offered in some appealing shade of red. Go figure!

Weak moment? Snapper Rocks is a million times better than Donington and MBB combined...

I had the same dilemma. I currently have a F80 in Tanzanite Blue on Silverstone. Part of my hesitation with Marina Bay Blue on Silverstone for the F90 is the feeling of getting the “same” car. So I looked at Donnington a lot. After seeing both in person, the MBB looks too amazing to pass up.

I know this is an old thread, but just in case someone is reading this.

I am looking to order DG... Hate the two color wheels.... Look like one of those Ubike licks with plastic on top.. . Are black wheels going to look stupid with the chrome trim of the non-comp version or will they work with the CF roof?

Add the black front and side grilles for $530 (they are a port installed option).

I bought my 19 Comp in MBB without seeing it in person. The dealership pictures were so bad, but you could still tell it was a special color. It’s absolutely beautiful IRL. I had a silver f10 M5 Comp and it’s no comparison. People talk to me about this car a lot more for two reasons: the color and the sound. It’s one of the best looking colors I’ve ever seen on a car. Once I get the orange peel diminished it will be even more amazing.

All great colours, I got MBB because it’s beautiful...., and a stone chip already on the bonnet. The darker cars show it more..

Ended up with MBB. It's definitely a special color and suits a car like the M5 more.
