That was fun, although I wish it were about five times longer. I could watch that all day- it's like watching da Vinci paint the Mona Lisa. Ok, perhaps a bit of hyperbole there, but I share Shmee's almost adolescent enthusiasm seeing how these magnificent machines come to life.

A few of the workers seemed quite unhappy there...
Also, the facility seemed more cramped than I imagined. It's interesting to see how the high-end M5 and Alpina cars are built intermingled with the lower end cars. Nothing special and no extra attention. Good margins on the high-end cars for sure... One thing that BMW doesn't focus on in their production is the paint job. This has always been a disappointing aspect of their cars (orange peel, etc.) when compared to their German competitors and Lexus who seem to spend more effort on it. Anyway, definitely an interesting video... Last edited by visualguy; 08-02-2018 at 07:35 PM.. |

Can you imagine on how many forums he should be , then ?
On the videos , we see the good part of the work. But I'm sure that he has a lot of things to take care , and has no time for forums etc ... |

Dingolfing
I have actually been there on a factory Tour with the danish BMW club.
Quite interesting to see the production of the cars and to get the info of the logistics of the assembly process. Quite impressive.

Shmee def knows about certain hyper/supercars but an M5 is not really his thing and he freely admits this is not his car and more of a marketing ploy between his popularity and BMW...this has nothing to do with Tim...but a while back another certain popular YouTuber put in his video that a Ferrari F40 had a 4.7L V12 while standing next to an F40 and an F50 (just Google an engine of an F40)...long story short...most Youtubers dont know shit...so us owners need to realize what and sadly most YouTube reviews are...Publicly and a way to make money from views...no matter how good/bad it is
