Body kits and rust

I recently moved from the USA to Asia where the weather is much, much more humid and rust sets in quickly (no as much winter salt on the roads though!)

I'm thinking of adding a body kit (side skirts, valence, lip) to my X4M but was wondering if I have to worry about corrosion risk because installation requires drilling some holes in the underside of the vehicle.

Would any wiser minds familiar with humid climates (US South, Asia, etc) have any advice on whether this is a reason NOT to get a body kit, or if there are precautions I need to take?

This was something I never had to worry about in dry California.

Thanks!

Yes it can be done right. Using proper fasteners. Treating any holes made properly. Any legit good body shop would know this.
