I would imagine that there will be an actual press release with an actual time that is faster than the hot laps that this magazine is running. Hell, they aren't even in Sport+ for anything.

Give us figures that thoroughly test the car & mean something.
Whats the all important 'industry standard' lap time for the nurburgring ?.
1 minute laps are somewhat pointless & can come down to something as simple as a better launch.

As I have posted in the other thread, all we can conclude here is that the M5cs is 1.5 seconds quicker than the M5competition Autobild tested on the same track.

The GT3 time does not seem to be from a reliable/comparable source and no conclusion can be drawn from it (as well as the other listed times). The thread title is therefore misleading IMO.

I would like to believe this test driver knows the car and has turned many laps to record that lap time.
So the CS doesn't have track setting like the M8C? Or does this driver prefer that specific set up for that track? If so, why?

The time is really good I'm sure but does it make sense that a base M8 is still faster, even though M5CS probably costs a lot more?

Looking forward to seeing the full reveal though. I do like the direction they've gone with this M5, I can see it selling well.

I have been to two different BMW schools, both time the instructors told me comfort is the best setting for steering. Sport + doesn't increase more road feel, only more work for your arms.
