For what it’s worth here’s my experience with JB4 and Mods at the dealer:

Took in my car with the JB4 on and never had an issue with the usual maintenance. Did have an issue with the coolant expansion tank however, somehow it made its way into my #7 & #8 injectors as well as fouled the plugs on the way down. All of this was covered under warranty as well and never had an issue, although the second time I did remove my JB4 just for cautions sake.

My cars got Dinan intakes and inlets, along with an Eisenmann exhaust and some suspension mods. I think it’s a hit or miss and kind of depends on your relationship with the dealer.

PS, JB4 should be a no brainer mod for this platform, it definitely helps you get a little more out of the car and enjoy it just a bit more.

Looks like the CarBahn performance controller is just the RaceChip licensed. Stage 2 70HP wheel. Same as other piggies.

Curious if a heat exchanger in addition really gets you that much more performance.

And now they are doing the fitmo ecu tune with heat exchanger and intercooler for big power. Anyone done it?

Just recently installed Racechip on my f90 and it does seem faster after Map 5 and installed it in 5 mins.

I'm interested to see the mpg average on ec mode.

Secondary DP do not cause a CEL. Primary DP cause a CEL.

Can't speak to jb4, but love my Racechip. Whenever I take it off my car when I go to the dealer it's a noticable decrease in power. Always a big difference when I put I back on. Have had it for a few years at this point and love it with no issues. I'm in CA so can't get better than 91 octane. It's a different car with it in. Usually run it on "6". When I mix with E85 I put it in "7" and feels like a big upgrade.

I would run 91 on map 5 but I'm glad you are happy with it

I just did a run last night with the dragy in my M8 GC Comp. I started my run just short of my usual spot which is just under 1% decline so I didn’t hit the small incline I usually hit to get under 1%. So take results with a grain of salt. I have Turner Motorsports CF intake, CF scoops, MAD secondaries, Dinan X-pipe, and RaceChip in highest setting. It was chilly here at 45 deg and Michelin PS4 tires were spinning early on. A 7.2 60-130mph (6.25 100-200kph) isn’t bad given the pretty conservative mods/low boost.

You are spinning a lot off the line. I'm assuming you have everything set to max on your M2 before launch. Set your suspension to comfort and try again.

Just got a 2022 M8 Grand Coupe Comp.
Not really much info on the M8 side, so snooping here with the M5's since they basically have the same everything.

I just got my JB4 and have downpipes headed my direction.
I'll be removing the charcoal filters and resonator.

Question is, I have 2 methanol kits from other setups. Has anyone ran methanol just for it's cooling benefit on IAT's?

Also, using the JB4 with the Bluetooth option, for those that have primary catless DP's how often does your CEL light come up? Is that something the JB4 automatically clears or is it one of those things that pop up every few miles and you have to clear?

JB4 for F90 M5 in the USA will not defeat CEL for catless DP. Feds have been going after sellers of devices that alter emissions monitoring. CEL will appear quickly and you will have to clear it all the time.

Ignore CEL, flash tune car, just run secondary DP or buy expensive primaries with HJS 200 cell or Gesi 300 or 400 cell cats that are good enough they will not trigger CEL.

Anyone attempted using one maybe two stacked O2 "Spacers"?
I had one on a GTR back then and it worked fine, but that was a 2015 car. Not sure if these newer cars are more sensitive.

Have yet to read of anyone succeeding. The power gains are so minimal on a near stock car that I would not bother with catless primaries.

On the WMI question, power gains are minimal on a near stock car. But if you live in a hot area or have only 91 and no E85 to blend, I would use WMI. I use WMI, controlled by a JB4, and add 5 psi when flowing, on top of my flash tune. For the first year, I ran the JB4 for both the tune (Map for 93) and the WMI and liked it and that was with stock primary and secondary DP. I used the Burger WMI kit. It offers an easy way to mount the nozzles. I have the hardware and would sell it if you are interested since I changed to aftermarket IC that have WMI bungs. RK sells TB adapters with bungs, but you have to pull the ICs to install them and that is a pain.

This is mine with Racechip on 7, ER secondaries and Dinan inlets.

Very solid run, nice launch as well. Do you have a transmission tune?
