You're running full e85? Why not try e30/e40? On that blend these numbers should be doable with custom tune.
Because E85 is better than either of those and less of a headache to put in the tank. I requested a safe low torque tune and the higher E% allows just that. All my power comes in on the top end to help not break trans/diff or bend a rod. An aggressive timing table on this would likely be in the 5.9x range but also break something. I can run as low as E70 on that flash
Any mods to fueling system. I thought we cannot run straight e85 max was e40-45
Zero mods. Stock fuel system.

Haven't tracked the car. Just the 6.53 60-130mph but my tune is not aggressive. I specifically requested a low torque tune so the car doesn't make power til close to 5k RPMs in order to reduce potential damage. It's probably knocking on 9's or like a 10.1x on a really good DA night on a prepped surface. My 93 tune is probably like 10.5'ish, maybe less.

Did you switch from an m5 to an m8? If so how do they compare?

I did and I think M8 has the edge in looks department interior or exterior. Launches better for sure. Sits lower and has an exotic car feel to it. Only gripe I have is seats as they do not have the same level of functionality of other M cars for whatever reason.

Wow OP thank you for all the trial and errors and your experience so far. I will be going Stage 3 Carbahn come January on 91 and /or E30. (I live in Cali). I will post draggy times in the future as well.

Few questions:

Stock plugs or 1 or 2 step colder plugs? Do you plan on replacing your plugs more often on E? (maybe every 10k)?

How often will you be changing your oil as well?

Great times so far!! And i am 10000% on the lower end of the torque curve to preserve our internals the best we can.

I think you would benefit from a P3 gauge to monitor your car's levels on the fly. I plan on installing this with an E sensor for my E30 blend.

Thank you again for all your homework and sharing with us! Hard to find HONEST tuning experience sometimes.

I'm on just the stock plugs. I don't think boost was really increased that much so no need for a colder plug. I won't be changing spark plugs any different than before either. E85 burns cleaner than standard pump and actually cleans components due to the chemical reaction that takes place. As far as oil changes, I typically change my oil every 4K miles. Oil is reversed engineered nowadays and doesn't breakdown like conventional oil. If you drive in a very dirty area, then changing sooner rather than later is always a good idea. I live in a clean air environment so that's just my typical mileage. A sensor/monitor setup would be great but I purchased a test tube kit and it's sufficient for my experience level with E85. An entire flex fuel setup would be awesome if that was offered cause then it wouldn't matter. That's what I'm used to from my LS cars.

Car is insanely fast now and I love it! But I need an SUV for my fake hip so it is up for sale!

Look at a Cayenne Turbo or X5M. I agree the more chair like seating position of an SUV is more comfortable. I may have to go that way myself. I get uncomfortable in my 2018 M5 much sooner than in my wife’s 21 Cayenne S.

I'm looking at a 16-18 GLE63S right now. I love the 20+ X5M but the previous body style is just ok. I was looking at the Cayenne Turbos too but they looked a little small for the car seats in the back.
