Greetings...

Over a month ago I made an agreement with norcalEastbay328i to purchase his 157 style wheels for $1,000 at which time I sent him a $100 deposit through PayPal.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...&highlight=157

Subsequently, he agreed to deliver them to my house (he lives about an hour away) a bit over a week later.

He never delivered the wheels or contacted me.

Now, it's been over a month and he will not respond to me or return my deposit. I tried contacting him through here, in posts, and through Paypal without any response. I even have a Paypal resolution judgement against him.

Beware!!

thats why i offer people my cell number, home number, email, and other forms of contacts to make sure they know Im honest and would never do this type of stuff. Either way man, that is really really low of him, totally messed up. But thank God that it was only a 100 bucks as opposed to full 1000!! Ouch.

Is there anyway you can use his email or something to file a fraud charge or something against him?

you can always call your bank/credit card company and they'll reverse the funds.

dispute it with paypal asap.

i hope you used a credit card to fund the transaction and not your bank account. if you used a credit card, call up the cc company if paypal does not do anything.

good luck!

It's been over a month. Scammers always transfer their funds asap. If I have second doubts, I file paypal dispute within 2 days--filing dispute automatically locks their account and you can escalate to paypal claim later. It take 3-4 business days to transfer funds from paypal account to bank.

Internet is shady and I've had my fair share of bad luck so I would know. Paypal won't do shit, but clearing paypal claims is always a necessary step before contacting the bank, which has always come through me.

If anything, never use Paypal balance. Whenever I have any paypal balance I transfer it immediately to my bank account, Always use credit card or bank funds through paypal. Then you can rely on the credit card company or bank to get your money back when paypal inevitably fails to return your money.

i do the same, but i always use a credit card to fund payment. cc companies have a no bullshit attitude and will always be on your side.

I googled him, always a good idea before a sale. Here is the link:

http://www.google.com/search?q=norca...WE:en&filter=0

I didn't review it all but you might find something to help. If nothing else you can go everywhere he goes and post a similar warning to others.

Good luck.

Thanks for the great replies. You guys are absolutely right ~ only $100 and I should have used my credit card instead of my bank account. Cheap lesson at least! (What's odd is that he is an active poster to these forums).

btw, it is ironic how norcalEastbay328i is complaining about getting ripped off by another vendor.

Well, he freely posted he works out at the 24 Gym at the Concord Mall. I bet you could see his car out in the lot almost daily...

Visit the local Police there, and see if they'll have a chat with him.

I used my bank account through PayPal...did you reverse it after using PayPal or was it a transfer directly from your account to the recipient?

i went from my bank account through paypal also and still was able to get the money back.

i tried to file a claim through paypal first but they said the seller's account did not have enough money to refund me
so then i emailed my bank and told them about how it was resolved through paypal but they couldnt get the money back
and so my bank reversed it.
