So I finally got my Vossen HF5 mounted, and I’m happy with the result. One issue though - I’ve got occasional rubbing on the rear driver side when I hit a hard bump.

I had 295’s on the back with my stock setup, and thought these would be fine given they’re not that much larger, but it looks like I’m going to have to back to the 285’s (the 295’s are basically brand new and almost $1,000 a tire in Canada, so that sucks).

I can’t really tell what’s rubbing, but I think the only thing it can be is the actual outside of the fender on the wheel. Not sure if anyone else has had rubbing and figured out what it was? I don’t see any marks or anything in the fender. If it’s just the plastic liner that may be ok, but don’t want to mess around with the fender.

Guessing the offets on the Vossens is more aggressive than the OEM setup and this may be the root of the rubbing … everything else being equal.

Yes, they are and they push the wheel out to the exact spot where it should be on the stock wheel with 285s. Just thought I would be able to get away with it 😂

Did you do an alignment? You may be able to tuck the tops with a little more negative camber.

Just looking at my most recent alignment (last year), and they had me at -1.24% on the rear left, and -1.42% on the rear right. I’m only running on the left, so maybe a bit more will fix it.

Worth a try and would seem to make sense since you’re only rubbing on the left.
