Another thing is when the rear breaks loose it's so much more predictable. I really love that. Never any hop now.

I'm really trying to resist spending more money on aftermarket stuff beyond the Dinan wheels I have already purchased. However, your promise of steering feel (which is sorely lacking in stock form) is terribly tempting.

Plus Dinan caught my eye with their listing of the suspension that specifically states its compatibility with 20x10 and 20x11 wheels (coincidentally the precise size of the Dinan wheels).

I'm telling you, it's that good. You'll be very glad you did as it has made my M5 simply perfect in every way. It's not just the excitement of a new mod it's just really that much better. While holding the wheel you can feel the texture of the road and turn in is so amazing especially for a mid size rather heavy car. I was reluctant to buy it too but this worked out very well and the craziest part is somehow it's actually more comfortable because the rebound is so well controlled. Hits the bump, soaks it up perfectly, then right back to being completely planted.

Final suspension mods will be the dinan links for the rear and front monoball system for front. This will give even more road feel and tightness . Just much more enjoyable when it's that solid and connected.

Good decision sir! You won't regret it. These really tie everything together. As an added bonus the front monoballs will improve steering feel even more.

Supposedly they are also working on swaybars, but that his been in development so long I think they might have dropped it. Shame too as their swaybars on the f10 really helped things.

I wish they weren't so pricey together though. One of those mods you can only feel not see. By the sounds of it worth the price of admission. I have a competition though so one piece is redundant for the rear but not sold separately.

Sway bars are still in the cards although supply chain for those is at a stand still at present unfortunately. Some of those vendors and their components are booked out until mid-2022 they are so far backlogged. Keep trying to find additional sources but saying its been a challenge is an understatement.

Good to hear on the swaybars. Suspension modifications are few and far between on these newer M5s so nice to hear there will still be additional offerings.

Bummer on the supply chain issues, but that can't really be helped right now. Please keep us updated!

The entire auto industry has had its fair share of obstacles due to the pandemic. From semi conductor shortages, to computer chips, and now bmw at the moment is removing lumbar support, width adjusters for seats, and even Harman kardon speakers are being removed from builds as we speak. It's rough out there now in regards to production shortages. Likely to get worse before it gets better but at least we have some amazing products right not to enjoy. Thanks for the info on the sways I imagine the entire suspension when it's complete will yield a very serious drivers car. All the products are so easy to live with as far as the line between comfort and strong performance goes.

Too busy selling M's to get that into it lol. All kidding aside I really wish I had the time for that. I will have better and more detailed pics on soon though.

Alignment issue Now

Update: Had some issues after they did the alignment. The first time the tech did something wrong, the steering wheel was crooked to the right like 10 degrees or so which is very frustrating and the car just felt very wrong and unstable. Had him do it again to dinan alignment specs and center the steering again and now it's just about back to how it was. Still off center about 2 degrees but not quite as sharp as it was before any alignment. I'm confused, it was PERFECT before any alignment at all, any thoughts? Thx

I have the monoballs and rear arms paired with the kw v4s and it's great. There is actual feel now, well, as much as can be expected on a f90 anyways. No additional noise and the harshness is negligible to me. The car stays planted with no squirming now if that makes sense, especially under load through a corner.
Yeah I'm definitely happy with it. It's just so much more planted so I think getting those extra parts will really finish it off. I'm really surprised by the extra steering feel. Didn't know it was possible. Whole different car.
I just got this suspension installed today and have to echo OPs sentiments. This suspension transforms the car. The car feels more planted, more connected, more immediate. It feels better in just about it every way imaginable and the drop is more than sufficient for my needs.

How easy is it to change the height? I do my own swapping of summer tires for winter tires, and vice versa. If I could raise the suspension up 1/2" or so when I put my winter wheels/tires on, then lower it down an inch or so when I put the Summer wheel/tires back on, that would be awesome. Looks like it's pretty simple, just wanted to make sure you don't have to get an alignment done every time you change the height. Looks like there are holes in the adjustment collar to insert a screwdriver, or something to use as a lever to rotate it (after the collar lock nuts have been loosened). Just wondering if it's really that easy?

Nice looking car and great choice. Tweaking it is also very fun and see some of my adjustments below. Car feels amazing! Congrats!

It's really that easy. I finally got the suspension just perfect. Raised the front and the rear a bit and added one set of the packers to the front shocks only to make it feel like it did when it was really low without it having to actually be really low. Amazing suspension, super sharp steering response and very flat handling. Also changed spacers to 12mm all around vs the 10's. Lowering made them tucked in again.

I finally got the suspension just perfect again! Raised the front and the rear and it's perfectly level, about 4mm rear and 8mm front and added one set of the packers (5mm packer/bump stop spacer) to the front shocks only to make it feel like it did when it was really low without it having to actually be really low, it helped to perfect compression on the fronts. Amazing suspension, super sharp steering response is back and very flat handling and once again like I said the car is more comfortable than when it was stock. It's just back to being perfect in every way and compression and rebound are just right. Also changed spacers to 12mm all around vs the 10's. Lowering made them tucked in again.

I installed this suspension a week or so ago and have to echo the OP and other feedback. The car feels more planted and responsive. The turn in feels sharper and quicker.
Adjusting height is easy. It comes with a tool that inserts into the holes on the collar and I found that easier than traditional wrenches used on coil overs I've had in the past.
Nothing but good things to say about the kit so far. Can def drop is real low too if you want. I have it set at the Dinan recommended height for now.
