I’d recommend against going down to 245s on an F90 M5. I have the 265s on 19x9s but am considering going to stock size snows on the stock 20s next year and buying wider lighter 20s for 3 season use. The 265 snows are marginal for grip in my opinion. Better in snow but I may prefer to compromise towards grip.

Not going to dispute that.

Offering it as an option. Traditional understanding is that narrower tires are better in snow. Obviously that makes them worse for dry road grip.

Up to the discretion of the buyer.

Has the F90 fitment been verified? F90 brakes are much larger than anything found on the G30. Based on the width and offset these would need at least 20mm spacers to clear the front brake calipers. This is assuming that the barrel profile allows for sufficient clearance. Rolling diameter of the tires is also quite a bit smaller than BMWs recommended winter setup.

I have 19 inch snow wheels on my F90 and they fit the front steel brakes fine. The 245/40 versus the 265/40 that BMW specs as a snow is a good point since it could throw off the odometer or speedometer unless you can list a custom size in the computer (can’t recall), but the more important issue is the difference between front and rear and how that difference relates to the stock difference. Since BMW seems fine with square 265 even though stock is a 10mm difference, I would not worry about square 245. I just would not want 245 on an F90 even if they are fine on a 550.

Are you running 705Ms? If so, they are 1-1/2” wider with a nearly identical offset to these 19x8. That places the outside of the wheel ~3/4” closer to the car’s centerline. Fitment will still depend to the interior profile of the wheels. Not every 19” wheel will have the same barrel and spoke profile.

I use 4 stock front 19s. 19x9.5 ET26. I also use 11mm front and 15mm rear spacers for looks to push them out a little since I have just 265/40 snows.

I agree the OPs wheels and tires are thin for an F90. I obviously have not tested his for brake clearance but think that would be something spacers could fix if there was an issue.
