Interesting! That seems like the most plausible explanation. I wonder whether they are “better” in that they were thoroughly gone over or whether this eas just a way to get some value out of the car instead of crushing it.

Wow, this board has the best information on the F90 M5.

I am hoping its the former as the car only had 1,200 miles when all of this was done

1200 miles would be great. I was envisioning a test mule that was beat on. Maybe instead it was just a show car trucked around for dealers to display or for advertising filming.

To OP,

Why did you purchase an M5 in the first place?

Seems like the OP does not really like the car or does not think it is worth the money. If so, sell it and buy something you prefer. I don’t care about Comp or not. In fact, I did not want a Comp because at least the pre 2021 models have a reputation for riding too stiffly. I wanted a comfortable car.

Its not your regular E or a 5 series. It's a very special car!

No I would not. I wouldn't buy a comp personally. 17hp and slightly more sound from exhaust…plus a harsh ride. No thanks. Bought the base M and added all the blacked out emblems. Only thing I wish I had was the 789 comp rims. Base M5 to me is way more enjoyable as a car! Plus you have the MP exhaust! Revel in that or sell it to me!
