The wheel set is the following: https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/p/BMW...110003051.html https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/p/BMW...110003050.html The retail price of the above is about $3664. The price of the package as a port-installed option is $4440. So, is this a bad deal? The price is higher due the added cost of shipping the summer wheel/tires separately + mount/balance of the winter wheels. Since the wheels would be residualized according to my CA, this would still be a good deal as long as you're leasing and planning to turn in the car. |

Update: I checked again and have the same info - you just return the car with the factory wheels. But I suggest you check carefully with your SA/CA instead of just taking my word for this. Good luck. |

I just placed an order for a Competition M5 and am also in search of winter tire/wheel solution.
Has anyone successfully mounted the Pirelli Winter Sottozero Serie II XL on the 20" comp wheels? 275/35/20 285/35/20? The prefered option is probably to purchase a set of 19" 507m wheels with winter tires but my dealer tells me they are backordered to February.

On tire rack, there are two different ratings for the front tires - 102v or 102w. The 102w is a little more expensive. |

Any issues or anything of note? By going with the 285 - it would save a couple bucks since the front 275 is a bit more than the rears. I've procrastinated long enough. Time to get the winters ordered and installed. |

Betty Lou got a new pair of shoes! Lol
Immediately feel the difference, much more road feel confidence in 30degress today and ride more comfortable too. Zero fitment issues and had all done at dealer with zero scratches. My salesman made sure I had best mounter, etc. Tomorrow, snow test!

BMW Winter Tire Set
I ordered the staggered 705M winter set-up from BMW several months ago, and it still hasn't come in. I keep checking with the parts manager at my local dealership, and he keeps promising that they will come in by the end of this month. I am skeptical. I keep reading about back-orders. I have also heard that BMW may never provide a winter set-up. I need to act fast. Winter is here.
Has anybody received a winter wheel set from BMW? Does anybody have realistic intel on when they could be available? |

Hi Guys,
I've been following this thread very closely. I have an '19 M5C arriving at the port in one or two weeks. The dealer is telling me for the 705M winter set the earliest arrival date is the end of December. To me this could mean January or not at all. |

For those of you in this situation, is it really worth the wait? Do you really think the salt will ruin the wheels, in the time you intend to keep the car? Assuming, that's the motive to get wheel / tire sets. The 275/285 Sotto Zeros performed like a champ in a blizzard yesterday, which I mounted on my 20" rims...

I wanted the 19" winter set for the increased sidewall height. No need to tell you about NY/NJ roads in winter and the dancing around potholes.
I'm also concerned regarding scratching the OEM wheels during install and removal. I plan to own the car for at least four years. It's beginning to look like there will be no choice but to get the 20" Pirellis. If the 19" set isn't available by early January it's hard to imagine they'll be available in February. The manufacturer will be focusing on summer tires at that point. Well done BMW. |

I am probably going to go this route too and find 19's over the summer as people are selling them as takes offs. Quote:
