Front carbon corner fitting

I have recent bought some carbon upgrades for my M5 from the carbon Factory.

I am having issues getting them to fit correctly and tight up to the grill.

They have told me that BMW use a black marker to colour the gap between the carbon corner and the grill.

Could anybody who has the original carbon corners fitted send me a photo please so I can see hope they fit please.

I want to see how the originals fit as I don’t mind paying for them if they fit better

I was actually going to take mine off the car, since BMW equppied my CPO car with the fangs. I was told by my service advisor that BMW cut into the OEM bumper to make the fangs fit perfectly. They advised me to not take them off, or else I would show the cut in the OEM bumper. Has anyone else had to do that? My carbon fangs are the OEM ones.

lol bmw definitely doesn't use a "black marker" to fill the gap.

i seriously hope you're joking.

Did you buy them and have the dealer install them?

Sounds more like they were already equipped by the previous owner and that's what the owner did to install them and to be able to still sell as CPO they lied to you to not raise any questions.

Will have to revisit the dealer to ask, but when I brought the car in after a week of ownership to top off some fluids, I mentioned to my service advisor that I am looking at other front lips. He told me to not remove those as they did indeed had to cut bumper to make them fit perfectly. I thought that was ridiculous. The dealer did do the installation, as they also installed the M lip spoiler and a few other bits to make it more appetizing to sell as CPO...

Which “lip” spoiler. Don’t believe there is an MP lip spoiler for pre LCI. I’m sorry to hear this man. so as far as you know they simply claim they put the bits on. It wasnt something you ordered and had them install for you.
If that’s the case then I don’t believe the dealer installed them to sell the car. I think they were already installed and claimed otherwise so they could sell for more money as CPO. No way a dealer would cut into a vehicle to install oem parts. I just can’t believed they would be that dumb.

I hesitate to even believe they’re MP parts at this point.

Either way a moot point I’m sure.

I haven’t seen one single product from them that doesn’t say this.

exactly like a lot of third-party resellers using the BMW and M logo freely, typical since they don't believe in intellectual property.
