FYI guys.
This is how the supplied rivet supposed to work.

In order not to lose the push pin, during manufacturing process, the push pin is left attached to the rivet itself.
So, prior to installation, you need to snap the pin off from the rivet.
Once it is separated, you can push it in into the rivet and press in to secure it.
It is a tight fit.
But, I don't recommend to use acetone to wipe anything off your paint, lay things on top of your car, and use hammer to push a small plastic pin.
I do use the handle of a screwdriver to push it in.

Hope that help.

Didn’t know that. Just followed video and carefully hammered it in. Just when I hit the oem ones the rivet went inside the fender. I doubt it will be an audible rattle from there.

How are these holding up for those that have installed? Any other options out there right now as I cant seem to find anything other than PPF that look nice. I'm on the fence...…..Thanks

They're holding up well for me. Hardly any scratches either and still securely in place.

I actually made my own, for my first Competition in 2019. On these photos, they look like they stick out quite a way, but i made them wide enough, to cover the outer edge of the tyre tread, at the bottom of the front wings, where the wing recesses into the body. My new car has just landed, and i will be making some more. I noticed, cars that come with Pirellis, seem to have more rash, than Michelin shod cars. Guess what my new car has come with, yes, Pirellis, so im dealing right now for Michelins from the off. To add, these flaps are very discreet.

Doing good on my end. They clean up like new still. Only. Annoying but yet oddly satisfying is hearing all the rocks hit them when going through a parking lot

Dang that looks nice, where'd you find the gloss plastic to use for this?

Actually used some very thin black plastic mudflap material, from the local auto store, its about 1mm thick. In the photos, they look like they are sticking out quite a lot, but in reality, they really do not.
On my current M5, ive used 3mm black flap material in the same shape. They really do work, and the sides of the car are 100% rash free.

Give it time. It will happen. Especially along lower rocker panel. The tires stick out quite a bit at the bottom regardless of spacer.

Looks like yours are on backwards ?

Should not the carbon be on the outside, and not on the inside of the wheel well., Unless you wanted it that way.

I just ordered these.
Does anyone think it would be wise to add a clear wrap on the inside part at least ?, or kind of pointless perhaps.

Nah. They seem tough enough for the purpose.

I have only had my M5 for a week so not sure if this is a stupid question but is a rear splash guard not needed?
