Got a call from Autotecknik and they have gone the extra mile and sending a replacement free of charge. I did add betalink this time. Really happy with the outcome and 5 stars to them and Emnotek.

Great outcome. I’m a bit surprised they went that far given that they didn’t install it (at least that’s what I understand).

That's really nice that they are sending you another one, based on your dirty bumper i think it was an installation error. I had the same lip and hit over 130mph multiple times and it never moved. I also can't believe in all the posts no one has mentioned the 3M adhesion promoter, that's the only way you are supposed to install anything to the body of your car when using the 3M double sided tape, I use it on both sides, on the lip before i apply the tape to it and then after cleaning the underside of the bumper right before installation i use the promoter on the bumper, that's how you are supposed to do it and I have never had anything come off.

Lip already had 3M on it. Also pic was taken after few hours of lip being flown off as I didn't even know it happened. This time I paid for beta link and that should help it become permanent part of the car.

Yeah it's def not coming off with beta, still crazy to me that no one here mentioned the 3M adhesion promoter, makes all the difference when installing these types of parts to the body of the car.

I don't think anyone mentioned it, as 3M tape on a lip isn't a secure fitting, so why bother mentioning it?

The carbon M-Performance side skirts are supplied with a strip of 3M, which is useful to secure in place whilst drilling, but that is it's single use.

Agree, use promoter if relying on 3M, but not on a front lip.

Yes, if using 3m tape.

Betalink doesn’t need tape, but the area should be thoroughly clean and the pack includes the correct solution.

I can attest with betalink lip is rock solid. Cleaned the area real good with provided fluid. Applied betalink thoroughly to the lip contact area and screwed everything in. Used clear packaging tape from under the lip to the bumper really tightly so no gaps until betalink dries. Left it like that for 3 hours and lip was attached to bumper like it was part of it.

Welp, this is currently being installed on my comp as we speak, I didn't specify if they should use outside adhesives so hopefully it doesn't fly off after install. It's PFS here in Southern California so it should go well 🤷🏻

Also waiting for my lip to come in. When using betalink, is the removal similar to 3M tape where you'd just need a heat gun? Haven't worked with the stuff before. I do know on a couple of my installs, side skirts and previous vehicles, I also grab the 30 pound one and most parts had supporting screws.

I think Betalink is pretty permanent.

+1 Betalink holds on like there's no tomorrow, its essentially permanent unless you spend hours and hours slowly rubbing it off....had to do a few spots for my rear spoiler, brutal but doable.

Don't recommend betalink if you want to remove later. It can be done as you have to to remove the oem rear spoiler. You can get the part off easy enough with a heat gun and fishing line but the betalink will stay behind and then begins the fun part. Took me over an hour to get it all Off and then it left a bit of marring on the clear that needed paint correction. Now if you have a buffer it's much easier to remove. Ind has a video of a spoiler install and they got the stuff off pretty easy with it.
