Picked mine up today. Exhaust sounds fantastic IMO. Will post pics tomorrow after it gets tinted and I detail the car. Today had front and rear reflectors tinted. Turned out great.

[QUOTE=Narco1;26608286]I’m as ocd as they come. For $40 total front and rear they look great. Under bright shop lights and certain angle you can see some orange if your really looking for it. You can also remove in minutes if you want to go back to stock. Here’s a pic under normal lights.

Just Locked In An Order For A '21 M5 Competition
Hello everyone! I'm new to the forums as I just recently made an account, however, I've been reading on here for quite some time. Back in 2017, I had a '18 M550i and I loved that car. I didn't have it for very long, as afterward I traded it in for a E63s. Now I'm in the process of trading in a 2019 C63s Cabriolet for a '21 M5 Comp. My build is as follows:
Tanzanite Blue II 20" M Y-spoke forged wheels Aragon Brown Full Merino Leather Aluminum Dark Carbon Structure Trim Competition Package (Obviously) Driving Assistance Plus Package Executive Package Black Calipers Bowers And Wilkins Surround Sound System M Performance Rear Spoiler M Performance Exhaust My build came out to slightly over $130k and I'm happy with what I chose. I have been an AMG guy for the longest, but I wanted to give a proper M car a try, and from what I have experienced on my test drives, I don't think the car will disappoint. I'm slated for delivery either in Late October or Early November. I will post pictures as soon as the car comes in! I'm happy to be a part of the bimmerpost community! |

Oh no reason in particular, kind of just wanted the most capable version of the car. Don't mean any disrespect towards any normal M5's as they already are more than capable cars! My apologies didn't mean any disrespect

Oh my fault lol, so in short it's because it handles better. There's a nice and twisty road not too far from where I live that I've taken all my AMG's in the past to just have fun on. The extra 17hp doesn't do all that much since it's hard to feel, but it is nice to know it helps with 0-60 ever so slightly. That being said, I do like the exhaust note, but then again with the M Performance Exhaust it won't really matter. The extra black trim is definitely nice, but I guess everything separately doesn't mean much, but all the small additions that come in the Competition add up to a more fun car at it's limits. The regular M5 is basically overkill for a big heavy sedan, but the Competition just brings enough extras to the table that justifies it in my opinion

Had a car on the table that had the MPE and kind of regret not waiting for that one to find if it was available for transfer. But oh well. Gonna chop the resonator and middle muffler off in the coming weeks so fingers crossed that makes big enough of a difference to make me smile.

I have read several reports of the harsh ride in the older comp, but not this one. You’ll love it especially compared to the amg. The transmission, build quality and ride are much better. Congrats and enjoy! |
