Is the BW fun when just puttering along when you are not able to have any fun? That was the biggest difference I felt between my 09 CTS-V 6M and the M5 Comp. The V was boring in that case. From the reviews it sounds like the Blackwing figured out the secret sauce that the M5 did.
I love the M5 interior compared to my V and the BWs I've sat in. I am sure the BW would have been great but I was also ready for a change after 20 years of V's and LS6/LSA engines and Tremec manuals. |

I drove a BW at the track for a session this week, and it hurts my heart how it just performed better. I think some of it was the track alignment I’m not able to get, but man what a car.

I test drove a G80 M3 manual recently and there was really nothing about the driving experience that I liked. It felt very soft, disconnected, clutch feel was horrible, sounded like a vacuum cleaner, and wasn't as quick as I expected. It felt like the manual transmission was an afterthought (because it was)
I also test drove a ZL1 1LE manual and it was head and shoulders above the M3 in terms of everything besides looks/visibility/interior quality of course. But it was probably the best driving car under $100k I've ever driven |
