Ive heard that the next model year's 328 and 335 will be released. The 328 is supposedly just the current e90 325 with direct injection.

Is there any possibility of retrofitting direct injection systems onto a 06 e90 325 to make it into a 328?

Short answer: Yes. You can retrofit everything, even if it simply involves putting a new engine in the car.

Realistic answer: There is no way retrofitting direct injection would be financially viable. You'll spend less money trading in your car and getting a 328 than you would in the retrofit process. A lot less.

I'm not certain that the future 328 will have direct injection or just the 3 Stage intake from the 330 but, to answer your question, probably not. As Mr. Abulia said, it would probably be cost-prohibitive.
