New to this forum, and just placed my order last week. Specs are as follow

- Bowers & Wilkins
- Driver Assistance
- Carbon Ceramics
- M perf Exhaust

Before I placed my order, I heavily considered An Audi RS6, and a E63s. Considering i'm leasing the M5 was the better bang for buck. Pleased to soon be part of this great community.

the BHG looks great!

Tint is done on mine, PPE starts monday and i should have it back by friday with just about everything done.

there is no official xpel kit yet for the front, so i am just going track wrap until the kit drops for the front bumper so the fitment is perfect on the front once the kit does drop.

Someone asked me for a photo of the mirror caps, here they are ... mirrors are folded in from transport.

no, nothing. i have distill web monitor watching the xpel bmw page for changes.

i am getting track wrap (its xpel, but not permanent) as a barrier until they release the pattern. if i can get front in track wrap, hood and most everything else in film, that protects 95% of things until xpel releases the kit.

with that said, pretty much everything else is the same as < 2021, so hood, roof, doors, quarter panels, a pillar, should be doable with the 2020 kit

Xpel got back to him, they said they need a car in Vegas or Dallas to do the pattern, so they dont know when that will happen.

My installer previously did all Xpel custom by hand before patterns so hes just going to do the front that way, he said it just takes a lot more time and a bit more waste but since its only the front it shouldn't be too bad.

yea my dealer said the same. By hand is possible, but more $$ and more wasted film. they also prefer a kit for better fitment which makes sense too.

i should be getting mine tomorrow with most done and track wrap on the front. good enough for me to start putting miles on it.

interesting they need a car in vegas or dallas to do a pattern

i wonder if they do hands on kind of stuff or like laser scanning to determine dimensions, etc.
