I just had Dinan stage 1 installed on my 23 M5 and know nothing about the “tuning pro” app. Anyone have experience?

I do not have the Dinantronics, but I do have an RC. The app layout is identical. You should confirm this to be the case, but with the RC piggyback, Eco is Map 3, Sport is Map 5, and Race is Map 7. I believe that Dinan does it the same way. Everyone says the Dinantronics is just a repackaged RC. There’s a certain expert on here that I would usually tag this post to, but it’s been said that it’s best not to discuss the similarities on the forum, and I do not want to put him in that position.

Ultimately there are 7 different levels of power -- 0 being stock and 7 being max power. There are 3 quick selects that your screenshot shows which would equate to roughly map 3/5/7 (7 being Race). If you click the fine tuning option at the bottom of that screen you can change those quick selects to the other levels if desired (1 through 7).

Generally 1-3 are for 91 octane, 4 & 5 are a bit of a hybrid for 91 & 93 octane depending on summer blend quality and what not and 6 & 7 would be for 93 octane and above.

Straight 100% E85? No. You would want an E85 based flash tune to run straight E85. While we have not done any direct testing with X with E85 a lightweight ethanol blend (E15-E20) seems to be commonly accepted on other devices. Still would be a "try at your own risk" scenario though as all our testing/validation was based around standard pump fuel and race gas. Only E85 testing Dinan has done for the platform/engine was with the flash tune that can adjust more variables then what an inline tuner like the X could.
