Extended Warranty

Curious if anyone has looked into w the 18's coming up soon. Opted not to go w dealers third party, (axiom)on top of CPO . I looked into manf extension from another dealer at 6k for 75k miles or 3 years seemed like a decent price. Any insight or suggestions.

I did a CarChex warranty on my 2012 S63 AMG. It cost me $6200 for 60month/60k miles.

I only used it once, for a $2000 repair.

The warranty expired in February. I lost $4000 on that deal. I doubt I would do it again.

I've always heard that 3rd party extended warranties were a joke and just don't won't to find out the hard way...

Had extended warranty on my F-10 with BMW, when i traded it in for the F90, it had less than 6 months left, they paid me back around 3500 for the remainder of the warranty... and it did cover a stupid leak that cost around 8K.
so, for the F90, i got the extended 75K 7 Yr (so extra 3) from BMW, paid around 5800
all it takes is one stupid issue to get you covered...YMMV
