In case no one has mentioned, all the press photos are available without watermarks at press.bmw.com.

People are complaining about the price $143k plus TTL. I looked at my window sticker and my car was optioned for $137,245.

This looks like a bargain to me.

I think they will try. Certain markets (like Miami, Beverley Hills) will probably get over MSRP. Other markets won't. Some dealers might order the car with no buyer yet. Will be interesting to see if these sit on the lot like the M3CS did.

I'm on a list for one with no markup in writing.

I think they should make them made to order only, as to not have them sitting around if they do not sell well.

Agreed. Very curious to see how the market reacts to these considering the $140k tag. I personally would love one and am currently waiting on my dealer to confirm if they have an allocation & if there is a markup.

I was almost, i mean almost tempted by the m5c, then this came along. The only thing i wished they should have left a 3 seater in the back. Thats why I still have my m5, for my family of 5.

But if i where to buy an AUTO M5, this will be IT!

Maybe someone mentioned this somewhere in the thread, but how many M5CSs are being produced for the US market? Any estimates?

There seems to be no solid info. I've seen that it will only be a one year run. I'm gonna guess they will bring fewer M5CS than they did with the M3CS. 607 M3CS (edit correction from IB M) came to the US.

How many went to Canada? I think I saw that they are only getting 25 M5CS.

Based on Canada receiving 25 cars, my guess is that the US should be around 200 units.

There seems to be no solid info. I've seen that it will only be a one year run. I'm gonna guess they will bring fewer M5CS than they did with the M3CS. 1,200 M3CS came to the US.

I saw this car being discussed a few months ago and the wrappings taken off in late January 2021. I contacted my dealer a while back and was placed #1 on the waiting list (no deposit required). There are now several folks on the waiting list. The pricing is in the $140k range which, in my opinion, is very reasonable for this particular car. With production limited to only one year I believe the car will be highly sought after and will necessitate a premium over msrp. The ordering guide is released for Canada which is allocated 25 cars. I believe a BMW dealer will be fortunate to obtain one allocation, with allocations normally allotted to those high volume dealers who sell many M cars. I doubt one can simply visit a BMW dealer and order an M5CS.

There are three paint options, two tire options (no cost), and two brake caliper color options (no cost).

I'm anxious to take receipt of mine.

Where did you read that the US is only getting 50?

I read that figure somewhere in my web browsing but who knows how accurate it is? I personally believe that U.S. release number but I don't want to make a statement without 100% proof so I will delete that number. I did read the Canadian product bulletin/ordering guide and those figures are accurate.

If we use the M2 CS as a reference:

Canada: 102 (4.6%)
US: 589 (26.8%)
Total worldwide: 2,200

Working backwards with what we know of Canada receiving 25 M5 CS’s:

Canada: 25
US: 145
Total worldwide: 543
