I think it has more to to with casting a shadow of doubt on the M AWD system. Wisdom says if two cars close in power and weight then the AWD in any car should have the edge over RWD... but it didn't this time. Tires aside (and god forbid the PSI is off by 1.5 in any wheel) this M AWD is in the spotlight if it's either great or trash.

Its a gigantic sedan. It has an M5 badge and its probably much faster than my M3. Do you actually see the surgeon or the lawyer doing a drag race in manhattan or somewhere else. If you're in the UK the doctor or surgeon will not own such car but rather a kia.

That said its insane numbers of those cars. E - class I would take over the M5 because its more of a daily driver. M5 I owned it was very disappointed.

Anyhow everyone has their opinion and theory. If you want a brutal fast car get an alpha tuned GTR.

JMO ... BMW is still my favourite car.

I am assuming HOT lease deals on F90 in near future, Currently when prices are close with E63S its hard to pass on AMG! BMW supposed to do complete redesign from previous gen, design wise now 5 is closer to lower end models of bmw...

had a talk with my buddy who owns that blk AMG car, 2400$ for new window, ours I haven't checked yet, but im sure its going to be much less. we are going to have new run with him soon, but this time it well be on an air plan strip, so not so much rocks and also more space. lets see how it go's.

I like how cars are compared like a washing machines or gaming computers . Who cares if MB is faster, it can do 0 to 60 in 2.8 sec, but still my option would be M5

Not at all. Official Ring data generally has a professional driver on a professional track with timing gear....not a youtube $$$$$$ maker on some road somewhere with a vbox....different dynamics...

So, the media source somehow minimizes the performance of the car? The Ring is open to the public. It’s no more a professional track than a drag strip sanctioned for a few hours of racing. The Merc edging out the M5 is pretty numeric to me.
