Calling on All M5CS Owners

I have secured a great deal on 2022 M5 CS, but have not close the deal yet. I understand that this car is special in just about every way. However, I would love to hear from M5CS owners if they have any regrets of purchasing this vehicle? I would also like to know if you use it as DD? As well as how long have you been an owner of this carriage? Thank you

You aren't going to be getting a ton of responses here based on how few have units have actually been produced so far. I had one of the first in the country and I've only had it for 2 months.

I daily drive it. Love the car. Seats take some time to get used to ingress/egress. Exhaust is pathetically poor. It should be much louder in my opinion.

No regrets on the purchase.

Have you looked into Dinan x-pipe?

No, not yet. I'm still trying to be patient and hope that it gets better as I put more miles on it.

Goes in for the 1200 service on Tuesday. Maybe I will like the sound better when I don't have to worry about keeping the RPMs under 5,500.

I went in for my 1200 and up to leading into it I could noticeably tell a more deeper richer aggressive sound from the exhaust. Somewhere between 1000-1200 is when it started to progressively get more intense / aggressive. Granted I don't have a CS….this is based off my '21 M5 Competition I got about 2 months ago. I'm getting the Dinan X pipe but it's on back order until at least late November…probably longer.

This post reminds me that for the few M5 CS owners on this board, none have written an extensive review of the car.

You probably won't hear any negatives, as you shouldn't since it's an amazing car.

You won't regret it at all, I love my M5cs and as much of a nice car it was stock I decided to mod it like I always do with all my cars. I will be releasing a full break down of the mods once I get the car back and show you guys pictures of it.

Drove 2 long road trips with it and the seats are comfortable once you're in them, going in and out of them can be a bit annoying but you getting a car with bucket seats you should know what you're getting yourself into.

Exhaust is TERRIBLE from factory, don't know why they didn't make the CS a special exhaust but I changed that on my CS as well.

Definitely enjoying my machine.

I have to agree with Speedoninstagram and Ex Stig on the positives and negative (the exhaust, the exhaust is so weak).

More feedback on the exhaust: I'm just a bit north of the 1200 mile point (and about 100 miles post break-in service) and, while it is bassier, it still sounds weak compared to my previous F90.

Here is a quick video clip of my cs leaving a charity event last weekend:
Exhaust Note

Either way, I personally love the machine and am happy with my purchase.

Good luck with the wait!

I wrote about my initial impressions here before the break in period; yet somehow forum members managed to flame me for saying it's an improvement over the M5C

https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=27972570

I've had it for almost two months now; easy to daily one you find a method to get in and out of the bucket seats.
Had the break in done a few weeks ago.
Power is just insane; comfort is impressive, perfect Grand Touring sedan.

Road to driver connection in wonderful

Don't hesitate to buy it. Plenty of demand out there for this car.

You won't find any negative reviews because no one wants to admit being deceived by hype. Step right up, pay more for less. Take my money!

Do you honestly believe that people were not honest with their reviews?

Some, did in fact expressed their dislike about certain things on CS, so I do think majority were genuinely honest.

Im always willing to pay more for less weight, remember cars can be light durable or cheap, only 2 of the 3 are possible

HTH did you manage to get a great deal AND have it available next month?! I've been waiting since July to see the little bubble move from "Order Received" to "Ok this is finally going to happen".

The car has been already produced (4/21). Owner of a dealership drives it as a demo. It's US specs, and it will be released with 2500 miles as part of the BMW demo programs. It has to be in dealer's possession for 90 days as well.

I have one on order and am waiting for Speedoninstagram to send me some exhaust clips.

Hoping to add the M Performance Exhaust and Keller Performance DP once I hear his videos to see if it is worth it.

I'm coming from a 19 M5C so the exhaust has to sound at least as good or I will be very disappointed.

The people on this thread are passionate about BMW M5 CS, whether or not they own. I am receiving mine next month and couldn't be happier. Could we have put our money elsewhere, yes, but to each their own. I'd buy a 1970s CSL and not think twice. It's not just how fun it is to drive, it's about how it makes you FEEL. You can't put a price tag on life experience and having a helluva lot of fun.

Do you plan on eliminating the GPFs with your new exhaust system?
