With or without CCB's?

OE pads for w/o CCB's (CCB pads are over double the price):

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...mw-34217991043

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...mw-34107886853

I think EBC makes them as well:

https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automoti...rbo-2018-/1512

I've used Hawk pads on a lot of my cars and like them, but I don't think they make a pad for the M5 yet.

You'd have to measure them with a micrometer if they are steel brakes, weigh them if they are CCB's. My guess is that if you have a 2022, your rotors are fine. I've gone 60,000+ miles on rotors before having to replace them, unless there warped. I've gone close to 100,000 miles on rotors with a manual transmission. Are you getting a shimmy when you brake? If they're within spec, aren't warped and have no deep grooves in them, you can slap a new set of pads in there and call it a day. How many miles on the car.

2022 and you already blew through pads? or are you just wanting to replace pads with: 1) more bite or 2) less dust?

if that's the case then you dont need to replace rotors just because you replace pads.

There are probably 100,000,000 posts on the internet asking this same question. A simple Google search would give you the information you need.

Don’t waste your time. OP doesn’t bother searching for anything. Only thing worse than his inability to search is his inability to provide a useful thread title.

Typically, more bite means more dust and less bite equals less dust. Depending on rotor and pad material, there may or may not be a perfect balance. Not a huge selection out there for our car that is the best of both worlds.

I would pray instead for a miracle — less dust and more bite.

You only need wear sensors if your current brake pads are worn out already and you've worn out the wear sensor where low brake pad light is on.

Awesome. Thank you. Got some front loader in the cart for when I'm ready. Hoping to get rid of the awful dust build up.

My front wear sensor went off, once I replace that sensor and pads does the warning go away automatically or is there a reset I need to do? If I need to do something extra so I need more equipment?

You'll need to reset the brake sensor warning and service light. It can be done from the seat with no special tools. Do you have pre LCI or not?

One of these should work. I have NOT had to do this on my LCI, but I have done it on my 2018 (different procedure).

I'm betting on the first one. I'd try that first.
