I love my TrackHawk and there is very little I would replace it with. M5 is the only thing I am considering right now. I find it far more comfortable than my F80 M3.

I think the TRX is the single coolest vehicle on sale today.
Currently LOVE my wifes track hawk, idk what she would choose if forced to between that and her M8

Lucky to have an m5 comp and a '17 Raptor. The Raptor is an awesome daily that does everything you would ever need. It's comfortable, spacious, quick, and I love the way it looks. The stock exhaust is pretty terrible but I can live with it.
If I had to choose only one, I would pick the Raptor. |

I want one of these so bad but it won’t fit in my garage or most of the parking spaces around Atlanta. It’s a beast and somewhat of a bargain.

I know a lot of folks disagreed with me but I'm actively considering the switch. I think if I'm able to get a good deal on one and get the value I'm hoping for on a trade I'd do it. My biggest hesitation is MPG lol 10/14 is pretty rough but not enough to stop me from making the switch

Maybe you should test drive one first before actually going through with the decision. NOBODY on these forums could truly help you with your decision because none of us are the same people. Call the dealer, lock in a test drive and get a good 30mins/hour with the car But I will say within the first 5 minutes of being on the main road in the TRX, I'm sure you'll be at church next Sunday confessing to the Priest for even thinking about canning your M5 for a Ram |

That being said, a good deal to me is defined as getting the product below market value. Where most of these trucks are commanding crazy dealer markups I was going to get it for under MSRP. I don't deal in monthly payments, that's just a back end number that results from amortization of a loan amount. |

I traded a modded hellcat charger for my f90. Love the f90. Only thing I miss from the hellcat was that American v8 sound.

Sold my heavily modified Gen2 Raptor and went F90. No you are not alone since the TRX and Durango Hellcat were on my short list.

I've also cross-shopped an F90 M5 vs a TRX.
Traded in my Raptor this past year and made a $8k profit in one year. I've always wanted a M5 but the practicality of a truck combined with the hellcat engine is just unmatched. Not to mention the interior of the TRX is really nice and spacious too. But yea, I agree the 10/14mpg makes me cringe every time I think about it. The only other negative is fitting in parking lots. At the end of the day, do what's best for you. If you're going to utilize the functionalities of the truck, I'd say go for the TRX. You'll have plenty enough power to keep you happy, yet have a livable, practical hauler for your everyday needs. |

I'm trying to see how these are even mentioned in the same performance class or how they are being cross-shopped. Because of the V8? Performancewise, the TRX seems to be closer to a 540i so cross shopping it againt an M550i would be more logical if you want to include the V8 - and even then it's not fair becuase the M550i is faster and more luxurious.
And lastly, the starting price of an M550i is higher so the M5 is definitely out of the price league to be compared. Unelss of course you are talking used vs new. |

My wife's car is the family SUV, while the second car is mine. I have the option to get something sporty and fun to drive, or have the practically of a truck. Although performance wise, the TRX is obviously not as fast as the M5, I'd definitely have fun driving it - along with the added bonus of the bed space, taking it on road trips/camping, throwing the dogs in the back/etc… In an ideal world I'd have a comfortable truck AND a sporty weekend car, but I'd rather spend the money on just one car for now. |

Friend has a TRX and it is awesome. Beautiful truck, great ride, epic power and the sound of the gods. The real issue here is either you are a truck person or you aren't. If you aren't you will never get it.
Personally I love my Ram. I have a diesel 2500 and not a TRX, but it is still an amazing luxury vehicle. I kept it over my F90 because it is way more useful for my life. Reality is that an F90 (and my new G80) are pretty useless in Socal traffic. A TRX is pretty useless as well, but a little less useless than the others. |
