BMW Assist: Google Map Not Working at the moment

I've been trying on/off for the last 2 weeks to use this feature to send an address from Google map to my 2011 M3. Every time I tried, I get a response email stating that they could not send it to my car. I finally gave up and called BMW Assist. It seems Google map has been experiencing some technical issues and as of right now there is no ETA on a fix.

Just though I post this in case anyone else out there is experiencing the same thing when attempting to use this Myinfo service.

I used it last Monday with no problem. I did notice that Google had changed the interface again and this time I did get a message back saying the information could not be sent to one of our cars but that car doesn't support Assist messages for MyInfo. They used to send that message way back but had stopped.

I think the problem rests with Google and their apparently immature and less than rigorous testing. Like many software and service purveyors they seem content to let the customer debug their stuff.

I just tried it again, I'm still receiving the email that it wasn't able to send the address to my car. Anyone else???

BMW Assist told me there currently is no ETA on this issue. The problem is with Google, that much was explained to me...

I just spoke to BMW assist to set everything up. while I was talking to them, I asked about this issue and was told that all she had heard about it was that if anyone called with this issue, just reset the email address and it would fix the problem. Immediately after getting done, I went in to my laptop and entered a trip on google maps, sent it to myinfo, went to the car and there it was. Try giving BMW assist and ask to have your email re-entered or reset and see if that helps. Good luck.

I can't believe this person I spoke with would feed me BS like this if there really is no problem. I tried it several more times and I keep getting the stupid rejection email.

Sigh...I'm still having this problem. After 4 calls to BMW Assist, they can't figure what's wrong. At first, they discovered that I had 2 active accounts (one for my M3 and one for my old 335i that I no longer had) and deactivated the old one. Then, they updated my email again. But nothing they've done has fixed the issue. The last person I spoke to did acknowledge that this has been wide spread...

Sorry to hear that. Mine did work last week but tried it yesterday and it didn't. I then tried what another poster said, don't put in any notes or keep them short. It worked when I didn't put any notes in. Maybe coincidence?

Yeah it's been really flaky. I keep getting different excuses, either Google is doing an upgrade or something else. My messages are being delivered but late, and I'm getting a failure email.

I'm in the same boat and it's been really ticking me off... I called BMW assist as well and they said the service was down temporarily and would be all fixed within the next few weeks... Still waiting...

It's sending the location to the car but I still get an email saying that it failed or my car isn't supported.

Yeah, me too. I get the fail mail, but the address shows up.

Ok so Had 2 accounts active under my name, had my old account deleted. Had the BMW assist rep update my Email address again on my current car... After waiting for 1 hour tested and still no go.. DAMIT!!

Try calling BMW assist. Found my problem was they had mispelled my email. I had to give it to them 3 times for them to get it right. They apparently hire deaf people to take phone calls.

Still not Working.. !!!!!!!Have tired giving them the email address and double checked it.. Had them remove the Email from my 335i service.. also Had them remove and re-adding it..
